Hi there everyone! My name is Anders and I live in Denmark (GMT+1). I have been running a Pathfinder game for the last few months, and two players have recently left us. The game takes place in the Hellstar universe, which is a setting of my own creation. You need a fourth level character for this game, and you should follow the specifications below. Inexperienced role-players are very welcome. You need a microphone, and some headphones (because of echo) since we will be using SKYPE for this game. Specifications 1.Race and Class You can pretty much create your character anyway you want. BUT before you make anything which is not
covered by the Pathfinder Core Rules, you should ask me.
There is an enormous amount of published Pathfinder material, and rather than having
to write down a long list of books which are allowed and not allowed, I would rather
you asked me (or showed me) what you have in mind for your character.
I have an extensive library
of role-playing material at my disposal, and if you have an idea for for your character, which you
cannot find suitable Pathfinder material to cover, you just go ahead and ask
me, and I will find something usable in my collection. 2.Ability Scores Your characters' ability scores use
the point buy system with 20 points to spend. Alternatively you can
make the classic six rolls of 4d6 (discarding the lowest of the four)
and assign the individual scores as you please. 3.Hit points At
any level, player characters always receive the maximum amount of hit
points they can attain. (A second level fighter with HD of 1d10 and a
constitution bonus of +2 gains 12 hit points at each level. 4.Equipment You have 3.000 gold pieces with which you can buy
any equipment from the core rules book (including potions and magic
items). If you want equipment from other sources, show me and ask for
permission. How I run the game 1.Game rules I would like to stress that
I do not run games which are heavy on the rules.
I would rather make things up on the go, than having to spend time looking up paragraphs in books.
If there arise a disagreement about the rules, we take a diplomatic vote and this
will determine the outcome of the argument.
As I am hosting the game, I
have the final saying, but I will always make an effort to make the game fair
for everyone involved. I use
the rules as guidelines never as an absolute law. 2.Story and plot
There is always a lot going on in my
stories, and keeping track of it all is sometimes difficult for my
participants. As I am well aware of this you may ask at any time about places, persons or
other details
regarding the plot, the surroundings or the world, which the characters already know. 3.Values Cooperation, creativity and (good) communication are the core values of my game. These
games are social activities and I stress that cooperation is essential
for this game to be a great experience for everyone involved in it. Make
sure that your actions does not hinder the other participants fun. Fun is the most important
value in my games, and the rules should never get in the way of this. In my games, I like to challenge my players, and I expect them to make fun of themselves, the plot and the people they meet. Do not take this game too seriously, but whatever you do, do not ruin the fun for the other participants. When in doubt ASK! Relevant house rules 1.Alignment Is not
something I use in my games. Whether someone is evil or not, cannot be
revealed
by a simple spell. Anyone in this universe could be a potential ally. In
any given situation, you can ask whether or not you can use a smite
attack or other alignment dependent ability on an opponent.
2 .Encumbrance Is not
something I am concerned with. As long as you have a logical assumption
of how much and what your character can carry, don't spend a lot of time
and effort figuring out how
much your gear weighs.
3.Ammunition You have
infinite source of standard missiles for your ranged weapons.
4.Spell preparation Never
mind preparing spells. I trust you not to go over the daily limit of spells
you can cast per day. 5.NPCs as companions Should
you ever be in need of a healer or a warrior, I would be happy to
supply him or her to the party as an NPC which I control. You should
never feel obligated to play a character which you need in order to
function as a party. 6.Spell components Always assume that you have what you need to cast a given spell. 7.Resurrection This does NOT happen in the Hellstar Universe. If you are interested in joining me. Leave a comment below and I will contact you ;=) This game will run on Wednesdays at a weekly basis at 7pm. Danish Time (GMT+1) See ya ;)
