Hello all. Much like the title suggests, I'm a long-time DM looking to get back into the saddle after a modest hiatus. At the moment I don't have a concrete game that I want to run, as I prefer to tailor at least a decent portion of my game around the players, but I do have an outline of where I'd like to take things: A Tumultuous Kingdom: The characters are part of one of the noble houses of a kingdom that's on the brink of a political schism. With war on the horizon and tensions rising, it is up to the players to navigate fraying alliances and establishing new ones. Frontiersmen: The characters are part of an expeditionary force, tasked with setting up a new town in the wilderness. Scrounge up resources, fight off the wildlife (and worse), protect yourselves from the wild weather, but most of all survive. In both cases, the games are intended to centre around a base of operations (be it the noble castle or the burgeoning town) with players taking on the responsibility of maintaining and improving these places, through adventurous deed and other means. While I do intend to include some mechanics to oversee these bases, it is largely going to be an opt in process as it's mostly just a means for me to progress the story without being entirely arbitrary. The former game is focused quite a bit on politics, with the latter being more focused on survival. With my current availability, I will be running a single game Weekly either on Fridays 5PM GMT+10 or on Saturdays 7AM GMT+10 these times are negotiable, but both of those times are as early as I'm willing to go. Session length will be determined depending on the day, but I'm hoping to do at least 3 hours. I'm intending to use Discord for voice, and roll20 for any map function/dice rolls that may come up. The exact details of the games are going to be finalized once a full group has been established, if you have any question feel free to post them here or DM me. To express interest, please post here with which timeslot works best for you and which of the games you are interested in. Thank you for reading. Snowman.
