Tablet Support Not Working on Windows 8 (until you spoof android user agent)

I've got a Surface Pro (windows 8 tablet) and was excited to try out the tablet support functions so I signed up as a subscriber. But they didn't work until after I downloaded an extension which makes chrome spoof the user agent (browser/OS) that it sends to websites. It seems to be working fine after that. Why aren't tablet features enabled for windows 8 tablets in chrome?

Unless the Surface Pro is an Android device it will not work in Roll20. Here is our wiki on tablets: https://wiki.roll20.net/Mobile_Tablet_Support In short, we only support Android devices and Apple devices.
Right, but I'm telling you that it does work. I'm using the Surface Pro with Windows 8.1. I changed the user agent in chrome using an extension so that my chrome "pretends" to be on an android device. Everything seems to work properly (the tablet support). I'm simply suggesting you might be able to support windows 8.1 tablets already, by using the android elements you already have.

Then, congratulations! You figured out a way to do it. At this time we only officially support Android and Apple devices. If you wish to write a guide on how to do this I suggest posting it in the On-Topic forum. Since this is not a bug I am closing the thread. :)
