[LFP]Wayfarer: A Hunter: the Reckoning 5th Edition Chronicle

Wayfarer A Chronicle for Hunter: The Reckoning 5th Edition Southern California has been your stomping ground since your Cell formed, and with the nastiness crawling around the Golden State, you knew you'd always have work. The Reckoning would ceaselessly provide quarry and secrets alike. You'd even managed to get paid a few times by those soulless org bastards when they needed real hunters on the job. You were at the top of your game. You knew the rules, the makers, the breakers, the secrets. Or you thought you did when you took on that last op. Everything went wrong. Now Jillian is dead, your safe house is boarded up, your shit is packed into a cramped camper, and you're headed east. Not because anything in particular lays that way, but because you know you need to get the hell out of San Diego and east has the most miles for you to put between you and the things looking to wipe you out. Your GPS says it's just under 40 hours to Jacksonville if you don't stop, but there's also a whole country of people and problems between you and the Atlantic Ocean. Who knows what kind of good you can do along the way? Maybe it will be enough to make up for Jillian's death and all the people you displaced from that apartment building when it came down. Inspirational Playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0zPI0EIeI6CPQLLbo8XuPQ?si=78685fed7e9c4a39 Mood: Emotional, with a focus on everything from facing personal demons and horror, to grappling with moral quandaries in the face of otherworldly horrors, to bearing the weight of sacrifices no one should have to make Tone: Justified meets the first season of Supernatural , with a heavy flavor of southern gothic folk and rock n roll. Themes: Secrets, interpersonal conflict and drama, horror, danger, and existential dread Any homebrews?: Less homebrew, more I'm bringing things in from V5 and various Revised and 20th Anniversary WoD publications out there to help flesh out enemies, SPCs, and lore. Most of it won't really require anything from the players. I might be convinced to allow some stuff (such as backgrounds, lore sheets, edges etc) to be snagged from the V5 books. Format: Video/Camera (Storyteller will not be on screen, but players will be) complete with cosplaying and playing to the camera. Scheduled Time: EST Evenings, Day TBD, the only days off the table are Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday Projected Go-Live Date: Mid to late August Expected Season Length: 8-10 Episodes. If it goes well and I want to run another season, there will likely be vignettes in between. Looking for: 4 Players + SPCs Expectations of Players: Don't come at me with a character idea. I don't care about character ideas at this stage. Tell me why you as a player would be a good fit for the game. Also, a big thing to remember is that Hunter as a game is predicated on teamwork, both in character and out of character. Don't even dream of coming to me planning to be some sort of lone wolf. Required Experience Level: Hunter 5th is a new system, so no one is expected to have already played it. It would be helpful, however, if you had experience with either V5 or a wealth of experience with TTRPGs in general that you think will enable you to pick up on the system quickly.
