[LFP][Sundays] Unique and Immersive Numenera Campaign

Deathshead Panoply Productions Presents: Numenera centers around the concept of artifacts from the past constantly being found, dismantled, reassembled, and otherwise discovered that have the potential to change lives, generations, and the world. Or make an excellent eating tool. These numenera are the driving force of this setting and emphasize discovery, research, exploration, and learning far more than slaying, hoarding, or dominating. It is a mixture of science fiction and fantasy where the world can have vastly complex technology yet no one understands it to the degree that it may as well be magic.  Devastation Dynamos is the archetypal Numenera campaign about hunting down revelation, exploring the past to understand the future, and building a legacy of your choice from the drit (dust or dirt). What will you build from your adventures? What will you do when confronted with the truly bizarre nature of life? Is this a 5E run? Or some other system? Also, whats the campaign gonna be like, as in combat heavy, RP heavy, 50/50, etc. Character backstories and goals will be followed?  Thanks. EDIT: Read the links, and seems to answer my 2 questions, but didn't see anything about it being a 5E game, or PF or something, sry.

Edit - oops.  Did a search.  It is right in the title.  Numenera is the title of a TTRPG...so they OP DID say what system it was ;) It looks interesting.  It takes place not 100, or 1000 or even 10,000 years in the future,,,but one billion years!  Unfortunately, it takes place so far in the future that it reverts to D&D like (it seems) in that technology is indistinguishable from magic.  So, not really sci-fi but more fantasy themed I would guess. It does look interesting.

Yeah Numenera is a game that was kickstarted by Monte Cook, he created his own gaming studio and brought us what is called The Ninth World. It is not Dungeons and Dragons but can feel a cousin to such a game.  Whereas D&D is about monstrous slaying and adventure in the face of such dangerous creatures, Numenera is about discovery, understanding and exploration. You get XP for finding things, revealing knowledge that was lost from the past and otherwise investigating the world at large. If you want to wrap your head around the weird of it all, it is more akin to 800 A.D. than the future. Technology is so advanced it is basically magic and indeed begs the question what is the nature of magic if not technology misunderstood?
