New player looking for a new D&D campaign

Hello! I'm new to tabletop games and Roll20 in particular and i've been looking for a campaign thats going to start up now, or soon beginning down at level 1 with a DM who has patience with someone who knows the system, what to roll and etc, but say has little experience creating characters and the skills and things of the like. That said, i have a pretty open schedule, am reasonably enthusiastic, i have some experience with acting and lying so i think i'd be pretty good at it(as long as i don't have to stay riveted to an alignment). I also have a microphone and i keep notes of things, if thats important. Anyway, thanks for reading, Cya Round -R (PS, i'm writing this because i have no idea how to find what i'm looking for properly, so this is a bit of a hail mary)
Now is a great time to get in on the ground floor of 5e (it's super new). A good place to start is to go to looking for group and search for d&d/pathfinder (all of them in the options). You'll see people nearly always call out if it's a 5e game. Anybody claiming to be an expert in 5e isn't being entirely honest.
Teluria is recruiting. Were a bunch of old farts 40+, but it's a very character driven rules light humor oriented campaign.
I'm wondering what "Stay riveted to an alignment" means to you. And how does experience in lying help roleplaying?

our campaign isn't restricted to any date we just set dates for the looking for groups if you read that it even says "all dates subject to change." in the bio we have a possible game tomorrow, we normally play around this time 11pm central - 4 or 5 am central we normally don't start anything till 12 unless everyone has a character on roll 20 just cause a date is picked doesn't mean they play just on that date that gives a rough time that the dm sets so it shows up in the looking for groups we actually haven't played on Wednesday your welcome to come and ill give you a rough description on what happened I am in the campaign now editing creature and characters to fit with a group. https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/491333/bl... ps. if that sounded mean in anyway it wasnt.

For example, if you're lawful, you can never do anything against any law, or if you're evil, you can't do anything good. A lack of fluidity in what you can do feels really restricting and really i don't think people, even in a fantasy world, could be so unchanging(gods and other entities are a different story). And to the lying, if you can't lie convincingly, its very difficult to pretend to be something you aren't. Acting and lying are very similar to me, the best actors being able to almost seem like they believe their lies. For me, i tend to change mannerisms and speech patterns depending on what i'm being, normally i talk fairly differently.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.
