Seems odd there would be more scabbard makers than blacksmiths.

Scabbards more susceptible to wear an tear... scabbards cheaper to personalize after a sword resells... could be some of those are leather worker in general that specialize in scabbards... shrug... at least we have the roofers for sure.

is it just me or does 149 guardsmen sound low? watching all the gates in the city patrolling the walls, patrolling the streets etc

I'm going to laugh when were in need of roofers.

I don't know per 149 8 hour shifts would be times 3... so 447... plus leadership (watch captains)... and doesn't count any garrisoned military forces or what the 63 noble houses employee or tier 1, 2, 3 or maybe tier 4 NPCs that call this place home.

You'd be surprised how small ancient armies were, and how many policemen there are in a city...

nothing said anything about active private personel ;) just thought it was 149 total ;) obviusly the nobles ahve their own house guard :)
