This does not require your joining the game, I can show the basics for free. --------------------------- Paizo's famous Pirate Adventure Path, Skull & Shackles, now modified to fit a steam punk setting, with a homebrewed world created specifically to facilitate air pirates, steam technology, and more! With added modules from Paizo centered around the infamous archipelago known far and wide as "The Shackles" and added homebrew missions to expand the story all the way up to Level 20! This is a Gestalt game , meaning you will be picking two classes, and when you level up you gain the appropriate abilities of both, and select the highest HP, BAB, Skill Growth, etc of the two. We are also using Hero Points, Background Skills, Elephant in the Room feat rules , and more homebrew content, such as: Absentee Cinematic Feats: If you absolutely cannot make a game, your character will still be part of the action, but they will no longer be subject to the whims of the die. This means your PC won't die just because you're away. You will have a pool of Cinematic Feats you can select with Cinematic Points (3 at level 1 and 1 every level up after) which will allow your character to remain vital, providing once-per-session movie-like moments of saving the day or providing the team with an in (or an out!). "Distract guards to chase you into the brush", "Help a nearby ally up from prone with out provoking an AoO on them", "Sneak in through a window or similar difficult entrance to unlock a door for the party", and so on. Besmara's Own : Pirates fated by destiny cannot escape the gaze of the Pirate Queen & Goddess herself, Besmara . Because it entertains her, death is not always a certainty, but consequences are. At the player's behest, if their character SHOULD die, but their body can be brought back, instead of perishing they instead suffer a terrible wound, receiving a peg leg, eye patch, hook hand, etc. On the Skull & Shackles Player's Guide you will roll on the appropriate table to see what is lost as a 'gift' to Besmara. PC's will find no ordinary restoration spell will fix these new pirate.. enhancements.. Instead, special side missions must be undertaken, granted by Besmara's Clergy, to get back what has been lost. All this and more (No really, if there's something you really want or if there's some weird road block in the way of a build, ask me. I'm familiar enough with the system that I can find ways to what you want or homebrew something balanced)! Also, I will be running the game with a trusted co-DM and she will help handle the many, many NPC's the AP includes as well as handle a lot of other things to keep the game running smoothly for our players. This is an 18+ game , being about pirates and all that such entails. Anything and everything can happen on the high seas but they won't be happening with minors. If we discover that you are one, you will be immediately kicked from the game. Payment is to be given after session, we can discuss the specifics that work best for you. Session Zero, if the team needs one, will be free. All others will not be, but if you are dissatisfied with the game you may opt to leave the game after a session with out paying. Though if you do wish to return to the game at a later point, you will need to pay for your last session. I really hope that this sounds fun and interesting to you guys because I am personally excited to run this. For those who do think it sounds fun, we're expecting to set sail on the 19th , though it may happen as early as the 12th if we drum up enough interest and get everybody's characters ready to go!

A quick bump to add further data, we have three players now, and are looking for three more. The current party is as follows: Bard / Paladin - A man of the sea, hailing from an aquatic culture, he is quick to open with negotiations, but tread lightly ye who would betray the charter, for when the time comes to move on to violence, he is unyielding. Those who would stifle the ocean realms soon find there really is no stopping the sea. Cleric / Ninja - A hidden member of Besmara's clergy who cleaves through those too greedy to pay their tithe to goddess, sea, or crew. Few would suspect this small woman of being the lethal threat that she is, but the neglectful soon find how very familiar she has become with the spilling of blood. Bloodrager / Oracle - The son of an infamous, cruel, and violent pirate captain. This hobgoblin finds himself in the unenviable position of standing within his late father's enormous and looming shadow. Can he make a name for himself or will he suffer the same fate at his progenitor? Sorcerer / Anti-Paladin - An Ifrit who has learned dark arts to survive in a world that hates him. He is a man who tinkers with the world to the breaking point, when it would do its best to see him broken. Carried along by the currents of fate, he makes his way taking gold and leaving but ash behind. I believe the party could definitely benefit from gun users, druids, snipers of any sort, alchemists (or artificers) of any variety, and full casters. We still have five days to go before the campaign kicks off, so if you're interested in pirate antics, smoke in the air, and ships clashing in the skies, then go ahead and take a look. See if this might be what you're looking for.

Bump, and an update as we have had our first session but are still looking to recruit 2 players. Sessions played: 1 After being picked up by the Glorious Bounty when their individual vessels became lost at sea due to a terrible storm, the PC's have accepted a clandestine contract with the captain who rescued them. Take a secret document to find a dead Free Captain, who lost her life after taking a stance against the Slaver Union. Once docked at Port Peril, the team has wandered the bustling streets of the largest pirate city on the planet, engaging in a night long pub crawl chasing drinks with clues and clues with drinks to track down the mysterious Stella Fane and earn their gold. The session has ended with their having found two old friends of Stella's at two different bars, and following the hints provided to travel to The Last Catch, an off shore tavern where she enjoys a good drink, a good game, and a very, very good disguise. Unbeknownst to them, however, eyes have been on the look out not for Stella, but for the fresh faced and capable.. A dark fate involving yet another Pirate Captain may very soon fall upon them. Session 2 will begin with their arrival, and if you so choose to join us, their encountering your PC as a patron of The Last Catch. The team has worked their way through a PF1e compatible variant of the PFS module Port Peril Pub Crawl as a means of introducing them to High Tide, Liar's Dice, and other games which I have injected into the AP with full rules and the ability to actually be played. The actual start of the AP Skull & Shackles is likely to begin in Session 2. Other modules such as Ire of the Storm and more can be expected to be seen as well, injected seamlessly into the story to better flesh out their world and provide the PC's with an even greater adventure than the original AP.
