~ADVENTURE AWAITS!: ON FATEFUL SEAS!~ Join the crew of The Serenity! A Nautiloid ship traveling between Stars within the Ocean of Darkness that lies between worlds. Become one of the rare few who have braved beyond the confines of their Material Realm into the wide expanse of the greater universe! No matter your reasons, fortune or misfortune which brought you to the Void, you must now brave the great and unknown dangers of it. Unimaginable Evil and Wonders in equal measure are hidden within untapped and ancient ruins, abandoned worlds, and natural miracles. Whether you hold loyalty to one of the few navies from your Material Realm which have rediscovered the technology of SPELLJAMMING, or you are a renegade, no one can survive on their own out here, but with allies by your side perhaps you can plunder ancient treasure, or break new grounds of discovery. Only time, an ever fickle thing to keep ahold of out here, will tell... SUMMARY: What is this game? Hello! This game is a D&D 5th edition Homebrewed game in a Living World setting which is left heavily marked by the actions of each and every party who plays within it. This setting has been played in for 7-8 years and is a High Fantasy setting, with a NobleDark tone. You have a unique opportunity to interact with this setting in a way never done so before, as this campaign is the first within the setting to heavily feature Spelljamming, and travel between Worlds within the wider universe of its existence! What is Spelljamming? Spelljamming is the use of ships styled after Sailing Ships(though many of them are often barely related to such concepts in terms of appearance) alongside powerful and unpredictable magic, to travel vast distances between the Stars. Essentially, Space Travel in a Fantasy Setting! This concept along with many others present in this game are heavily inspired by the SPELLJAMMER setting for AD&D 2nd edition. However, while races, monsters, and certain concepts may be familiar, this setting is entirely unique, built off of the framework 5e provides but entirely its own beast. Grizzled veterans of Tabletop may recognize familiar races, monsters, and threats... But the lore and relations behind factions, races, and monsters are usually going to be unique or atleast changed in some way or another from the inspiration material. WHO ARE YOU? You may call me Weevil, Dapper, or Eli. You can contact me on Discord at WeevilKnievel#2327 for a more 1 on 1 conversation. My qualifications include a long history of DMing for as long as this setting has been in use, upwards of 7 years, both in D&D 5e, as well as in other systems of D&D(BECMI, 3.5), and non-D&D systems such as Star Wars:FFG, Genesys, and Chronicles of Darkness. My DMing Style is heavily narrative focused, with an emphasis on player agency and open-ended choice. My games typically end up being sandboxes with guided "Objectives" that have open ended solutions (though NPCs may offer suggestions of course), but the entirety of the world and setting still exists and moves independently of your own actions as a player, simulated within the most realistic level possible by a single DM. Things may move on their own if you don't involve yourself, but the things you do choose to prioritize can become entirely altered by your involvement. Become a Renowned Hero, or perhaps a Scholar respected in a certain field due to your discoveries that change how the entire settings NPCs view certain subjects, you may even become a Ruler of lands and men. The possibilities are as endless as your imagination, planning, and luck! FINER DETAILS The party is currently sitting at level 18.
