Hello, I'm currently planning to run 2x Numenera Adventure/dungeon crawl games on 8/24 (one at 900 EDT/1300 UTC, and then another session at 1800 EDT/2200 UTC). It's going to be the same scenario for both sessions, so if you're interested you *can* join both but you might only want to stick to one of them. Links can be found at the bottom of the post. The system Numenera was developed by Monte Cook (Ptolus 3.5 campaign supplement, 4th Ed DnD PHB4, among many others), and is a medieval science fantasy setting. Set almost a billion years in the future, at least 8 prior civilizations (not all human) have come and gone here on the planet Earth. Every bit of what humanities remnants think is earth has been touched by the previous ages, and through the interaction of said remnants anything is possible. Scenario Summary: Known by many people as the City of Echoes, Shallamas is a sprawling trade city of 80,000 people, as infamous for its thieves as for the wealthy merchants they prey upon. The merchants wealth comes from the many caravans that enter the city with goods from the south, and leave with goods from Navarene and the Beyond. Found guilty of a minor crime and awaiting a sentence being handed down, one day the gaoler comes around and herds you, and the others awaiting sentencing, into a courtyard. “Shallamas caravans have been attacked recently by a group of abhumans. Many of you here will face the stocks or flogging for your crimes. Instead we’re offering you the chance to forgo that punishment through service to the city. There may even be a reward in it if you’re successful.
