Can roll20 game creator import other files

I have not used roll20 yet, or purchased anything, but I would like to know if Roll20 will allow the import of shapefiles into their system? I have GIS software on my computer and I have created scads of maps in a GIS that I could export to a shapefile, or some other accepted format.  If I can do that, can I also build attributes into my database before exporting?
As a help for me, if someone has some actual game play footage of how this works I would appreciate it.

That's not a file format that roll20 imports correctly. You can see the file formats roll20 supports here: <a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/Best_Practices_for_Files_on_Roll20" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/Best_Practices_for_Files_on_Roll20</a> It doesnt yet properly support PDFs (though that's coming), and definitely doesnt recognise GIS shape files.

If they are vector data, and can be exported as SVG, there is a Mod script called "Walls" that might do what you need. But realistically, I would think that for a typical GIS intent, it would not be an optimal solution. Far more complex than needed. Much better to export to a raster format like png, jpg or gif.
thanks, at that point I may just as well keep shopping around.&nbsp;

What would be the advantage of the shapefile format in Roll20?
