HP maximum changing in character sheet

Recently for the last couple of sessions, the players have encountered issues with their Hit Point Maximum value in their sheets, when we go to a new map. When I drop the players on a new map, some of them have their Hit Point Maximum changed in their character sheet, e.g. they have 56 HP, but when dropping the player on the new map, it will display it as 32. It's not the same character(s) that are affected, but it seems to be 2-3 players at random, when dropping them on a new map. This can be deeply frustrating, as everyone have to remember their HP.  Have anyone had similar experience, and know of a permanent fix to it?

Hi LamePenguin! This has been reported in a number of threads. The devs are aware and are investigating.
Thanks keithcurtis! Sorry for the repost, but looked around a bit, and didn't find anything similar. Good to hear it's being looked at. Anyone got a fix to see how much HP a character had before this? We had a small break, and are now having trouble remembering how much HP a few characters had before the bug.

Hi, LamePenguin. I just had to fix the HP for a couple of characters in my game after encountering the bug, so this is fresh in my mind. Since I run D&D 5E, using average hit points per level instead of rolling for HP, I figure the HP maximum manually as follows: First level: Maximum hit die value + Constitution modifier Each level thereafter: Average hit die value (rounded up) + Constitution modifier For example, a second-level cleric with a d8 hit die and a +2 Constitution modifier has a maximum HP value of 17: 8 + 2 + 5 + 2 = 17. (8 is the max on a d8 and 5 is the average d8 roll of 4.5, rounded up.) If you're running a different system, or your players roll for HP, then I'm not sure what the best solution is, sadly. Edit: I made the change on their character sheets, and then, on their tokens, toggled Bar 1 from hp to something else, and then back to hp, and then newly saved the token as the default token, just to be safe. Not sure if all that is either necessary or sufficient, but that's what I did.
Just experienced this problem for the first time today.  Its bizarre.  I drop a token onto a new page and the HP are wrong.  I open an old page where a token was placed, and the HP are correct.  I go back to the new page, drop the token again and its correct!! Sometimes.  Sometimes it stays broken.  I dont know what to do because it seems so random.

This happens to me as well - and consistently. I am constantly having to redo my character tokens - changing their hp values. I think is this because there used to be an attribute called hp_max that used to exist, and they've now replaced it simply with 'hp' in the drop down menus for 5e. It's quite upsetting knowing that I have to redo everyone's tokens at the start of every single battlemap because I now know that no one's bars are going to be correct.
