Hello. I have tried to go through the module "Murder in Baldur's Gate" three times now. Once as a player, and twice as a dm. All three times, people stopped showing up and the game just stalled. But i've been staring at my copy for a month now, and i think i'd like to try again. So if you're loud, creative, socially maladjusted, and well-acquainted with the question "what's wrong with you?" you're probably a person i'd like to visit Baldur's Gate with. (Not quite so much with the power-players or optimizers. But hey, people can't be peaches and liverwurst all the time.) I'm considering Next/5e (whichever has the most interest) as the rules. But i'm also fascinated with 2e at the moment, and i think it would be fun to retrofit the module to run in the older system too. We might start out at Nashkel or Beregost or some other small city beforehand, and then move into Baldur's Gate. Or we might just jump into the module directly and leave the backstory to you guys. It all depends on the temperament of the group. Time-zone is Central (GMT -5), day is currently undeclared.
