Farming this close to the wilds, wolves aren't the only things carrying off sheep. Their strength and resilience is about to be tested. Something stirs beneath the dark pines of the Waterwood. Strange lights have been seen far from the lakes they commonly haunt and a great white stag has been seen by more than one shepherd who strayed too far into the wood. Winter was harsh, as it always is, but more wolves than usual have come down from the mountains. Townsfolk swear the howls come all the way up to the city walls. Are the wolves hungrier than winters past, or is something driving them out of their mountain lairs? Soldiers in gold and black, wearing the griffin heraldry of the Baron's men, patrol the road as they always have, though fewer now than in years before. Fewer merchant wagons arrived this Spring a well. Are they just late in getting a start, or are the rumors of bandits along the roads more than just rumor? Sharpen your blades and ready your magic. Your courage is about to be put to the test. Will you be the next hero to rise from the common folk, or just another fool in an unmarked grave.... I am a DM with 30+ years of experience but this will be my first time running a campaign in a world of my own creation. By "my own" I really mean a jigsaw puzzle of ideas I like from various books, movies, other RPGs, and other dungeon masters, all stitched together like a mad flesh golem. I am looking for players who enjoy storytelling and developing their character beyond just numbers on character sheet. Help me build and shape my world by creating your character's story, and have a great time doing it! We will use Discord for voice chat (no video).
We have two players ready to go. We need at least one more to get started and have room for up to five total players.
