I thought this might be a good discussion.  Are there any Module publishers out there that actually supply high resolution version of their map? The best would be - high res - with and without grid - with and without secret doors and rooms numbers (player vs GM view) - in pngs or jpgs Most I have seen are only supplying their maps in the PDF and they don't look that great blown up.  Paizo has some where you can turn off/on some map features. They have these beautiful maps and other artwork, why not just supply us with it all?  You still have the copyright to it so I'm not really sure where the problem is, but someone will know more than I of course! :) Konrad PS: Even better would be to supply HeroLab and Realm Works files, but that's for another forum all together! :) PPS: Any recommended ways to get the artwork from your own purchased modules of course?  I'm thinking I just need to recreate them all with Dundjinni and CC3, but that's a lot of work. :)

I'm not sure what they are afraid of? :)  They can't enforce copyright as it is.  I can buy the PDF and give it to a friend without anyone knowing.  Not saying I would, just saying I could.  I can rip the artwork out of the pdf in various ways, its not as good as the original, but I can do it. What do they think we will do with the artwork?  Sell it?  Give it out to all our friends? There are projects all over the internet where users are recreating the adventure in various ways and there doesn't seem to be a problem.  I noticed one project that has the whole Piazo AP converted to D&D 4 I think.  How can they do this?  Also many users are sharing Herolab files of all the monsters, spells, feats, etc. from modules. Anyways, just thought a discussion might be good. :)
