Hi there. So I made gifs for spiritual weapon and shadow blade, and dispite acting like they're on top of the player token (they are selected when I click), they don't display above them. Any idea why? Any idea how to fix it? Here's a GIF of it:

I recall there was an issue stacking tokens if they both had sight enabled... https://app.roll20.net/forum/permalink/7894603/ There was also a Carrying Tokens api/mod years ago that might help stack and "group" tokens. ie mounts

Yep, what Vince said. If the gif token has sight (and I believe it must be controlled by the same player?) then it will honor z-order stacking. However, note that this may make it difficult to select the character token. Also note that the z-order may appear different for different players/gm, based on who controls what.

The gif does not have sight, but is controlled by the same character. The sword is emitting light, maybe that is a setting that impacts it?

You will need to also give the gif token sight if you want to be able to make it appear above another [controlled] token that also has sight.

So I just made a second token merged with the GIF, and made it multisided.
