Friends List

A lot of us like to play one-shot campaigns or episodal ones, and it would be nice to have a feature to keep track of friendly players and friends on the site. Could we have a friends list feature? It doesn't have to be complicated — just a list of names and profile page links.

That would be an excellent idea! I approve of this
+1 Also, could be useful when people change their names for campaigns or just randomly
Would an endorsement or approval system be too petty?  Sometimes it would be nice to see someones track record and their merits. Even if it's tags such as "tactical player, role-player, power gamer, very animated" etc that might tell you the kind of player you're getting involved with.

I was about to suggest the same thing. Yay for buddy list!
Yes definitely, after collecting emails and whatnot in order to get in touch again after another campaign, it would be much easier to simply add them to a list.
+1 Friends List with notes you can write in about that player for you to remember specific things about them in the future.
"+1 Friends List with notes you can write in about that player for you to remember specific things about them in the future." Reb S. This would also solve peoples problems with the suggested player rating system. Simply make your own private notes about people in the future, or add them to your own private blacklist. Your own personal interaction and opinion of one person may differ greatly to another persons perspective, meaning that a 'late by five minutes' player may be regarded in a different light by another GM or group which is more relaxed. Yet it still provides your own personal warning or prompt to stay away or continue to play with other players. Brilliant idea.
This sounds awesome!

+1 to the Friend's List, the ability to take notes. I'd also like to have a way to mass PM people on the friends list for open game notifications, etc.
This seemed to be getting a lot of traction, but no response from mods or devs. I'd like to give it another shot at life.

Alex, if a Mod or Dev responds to a suggestion it can have the effect of propelling that idea forward or killing it. As a result we generally do not respond to suggestion forums. However, we do read them and note the suggestions. - Gauss
