[LFP] [D&D 5E] [Homebrew] [Weekly] [Friday] Established group Looking to Add 1 More player

Hello my name is JohnBoi AKA J.Y.I.F AKA John. I am the DM for a homebrew campaign of my own design that is a interdimensioal war and survival of the home Material Plane realm of Akatera against the mass invasion of an other world empire, known as the Crimson Legion, looking to add to it's collection of conquered worlds. We are looking for a player with a good amount of experience of D&D under the belt to join up with our group of misfits group of heroes in saving the realm of Akatera from dominion. The party is currently level 7 with the end being set somewhere between 13-15. Level up is EXP based. Games are Friday @ 4PM PST/ 7PM EST, voiced on Discord, and are weekly. Game strives to be close as 50/50 RP to Combat as I can possibly I can keep it, while respecting player agency to do random things... if you are prepared for the consequences. The game is a branching path type of adventure with some sandbox elements. Here are brief descriptions of the characters of the party: Half-Elf Paladin: Stoic, hides in his armor from the public. Protective. A commanding officer in the army fighting against the Crimson Legion. Tank/Pseudo-Leader Drow Cleric: Assertive, but has sweet motherly side to people they like. Not very tactful. Buff/Debuff Spells and Abilities Tabaxi Ranger: Stubborn, Complicated backstory, has tendency to resort to violent actions against people really don't like. Looking for acceptance. Ranged DPS Elf Wizard: "Little Miss Sunshine". Optimist. Strategic. Socially awkward and nervous at times. Utility for any possible situation. Shifter Artificer: An intellect with some suppressing viciousness. Per player "Ironman but just a Werewolf". Constantly tinkering. Tank/Utility If you're a still interested then please answer the following questions below so I have a general idea of who you are and if you are a fit for the game. If selected you will receive a private message from me to set up a discord interview and exchange some more information. Thank you for taking the time to read this post. PLEASE ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE GAME Character Concept and a One Paragraph Backstory (Don't worry, we will go over details in interview) Type of Player I am Things I don’t want in a campaign Your Favorite Movie
Dumah Mikail: Half-Orc (Zealot or Berserker) Barbarian - Scary-looking on the battlefield and on first impression, jovial and moral man outside of that. Likes bloody battle against evildoers, spirited competition with fellow heroes, looking out for the needy, preaching the good word. Found an abandoned child by a travelling clergywoman, Dumah Mikail was raised as an acolyte and taught righteousness and piety. While he loved his faith and the family he was raised by, Dumah could not help but feel an inherent lust for battle within himself when he was regaled with tales of heroes and saw warriors on their duties, but suppressed them out of fear. One day, when his church was beset by heretics, the trauma of seeing his brothers cut down and his faith disgraced awakened a great and horrible rage within Dumah, and he fought like a demon against the invaders. Though he fought off the stragglers and survived, Dumah was horrified when he woke up to ashes and charred corpses. He traveled for answers, his grief and rage broiling inside of him as he looked for answers. Meeting a travelling warrior-priest, Dumah learned his place in the world: He was placed there to pay evil unto evil and good unto good, and his home and family being destroyed was due to a denial of who he was. Now driven by a desire to do good and purge evil, though tainted by guilt and genuine bloodlust, Dumah sets out to make his mark upon the world. I love combat and roleplay about in equal. Smashing big monster is cool, having a group of characters to be attached to and effecting the world WHILE smashing big monster is cooler. Though if I were to give myself an actual descriptor, I am an RPer that seeks to leave a mark on the world my character is in. And on the faces of big monster. With my axe. No particular turn-offs come to mind: As long as everyone gets along, player choice is respected, and we do cool stuff, I'm a happy camper. The Shawshank Redemption or Dredd (2012).
