[LFP] [5E] [18+] Starting an Eberron campaign - run a newspaper with your party

Looking for people to join a long campaign set in Eberron, welcoming experienced LGBTQIA+ friendly players who are 20 years old or older (no mature content in the game, just the GM's preference, since I am not young) I prefer DMing for people who enjoy making and roleplaying interesting characters, who listen attentively to others' words at the table, both the GM's and other players'. In return I can promise paying attention to your characters' backstories and making them really involved with the world and what happens. Unofficial content is allowed, I intend to share some books myself, provided it is understood that I can still veto some things (which is unlikely), and keep in mind we'll be using a version of gritty realism rule for short/long rest, more info about that on Session 0. I intend to discuss any house rules / additions to the game with the party and only include them with the party's consent. The gritty realism thing is something I'm really excited about, and I believe it fits the setting really well, so unless it breaks things horribly for us, it's most likely going to be a thing. I expect the game to have about 70/30 roleplay/combat ratio Character generation notes: all characters will begin lvl 3 and possess a free starting feat. Your characters believe themselves to be good people who care about their communities (the 'believe themselves to be' is very intentional). We'll be spending session 0, among other things, flashing out your characters' relationships with each other, since the campaign runs upon the preposition that you've already known each other for some time Campaign Premise When you decided to start a newspaper together, you promised yourself and each other never to stray from your mission – to amplify voices of those in Sharn who never get to speak. The passion for bringing those kinds of stories forth and the understanding of their importance was what brought you together in the first place, after all. But competing with such established titles as Voice of Breland, Sharn Inquisitive and, most of all, Korranberg Chronicle, is not easy, and there’s a lot you’ll have to do to earn attention of people of Sharn. Some more notes I'm an experienced GM, but I've never run D&D, only played it, so the first few sessions are bound to be a bit awkward. If you're interested in applying, please provide the following information: 1) Preferred name and pronouns, your (approximate) age 2) Your time-zone in the format of GMT + or - 3) A few words about your experience with ttrpgs 4) Are you familiar with Eberron setting? If yes, what is your favorite part of its lore / something you really hope to see in the campaign? 5) What's your least favorite part of Eberron setting (or just D&D in general)? 6) Discord handle You can post it below, or direct message it to me.
Games are going to be run on Sundays, 13:00 GMT The time is somewhat flexible, but not by much
I'd be very interested in playing this campaign if i can being a big fan of EBERRON ! What would be the time and play frequency? 1) Plague (He), 43  2) Eastern Time  GMT -4 3)  I like a fair mix of roleplay and combat, both as a DM and player. I am also very flexible in terms of what i can play. D&D is my game since the 80's, and 5E my edition of choice since launch i am experienced with it and Roll20. I can aldo help you for any DM advices if you need. 4) I known the EBERRON setting and played D&D and online video game in this setting before, i like the style,, history and unique vibe with pulp noir action. I like the newspaper Idea a lot, being in competition with other well established Titles trying to make a name for ourselves in a niche business with a different kind of journalism! 5) I like Breland the Mournland the railing system etc  6)  Discord ID Plaguescarred#3923
1) Claire (she/her) 19 2) GMT -5 3) I've played for about 8 years, and DMed a bit as well. I mostly play dnd 5e, but I've also used other systems like Cthulu and the AGE system. 4) I have seen it used as a DND setting, though I haven't gone too in-depth in any campaigns myself. The lore is really interesting though, so I would love to be able to explore all the different nations, especially Mournland.  5) I don't have a super specific answer for Eberron, but for dnd in general it's meaningless combat. I prefer when fights have some sort of narrative purpose and interest behind them, not just fighting for fightings sake. 6) ClaireMH03#8625
1) Thomas (he/him) 25 2) GMT-4 3) I am still fairly new to D&D. I have done two one-shots and would like to continue learning and join an actual campaign so I can follow a character through its development. 4) I am not familiar with Eberron, but will start researching it now! lol 5) I have not really experienced many settings so I would say I do not have enough experience to dislike one. 6) whereisthomas_#7294
1) Kennedy, they/them, 22 2) GMT+1 (Perfect timing, on a Sunday too!) 3)  I have played a few tabletop one-shots, but most of them have been in D&D 5e, my favorite  part was playing a character that had its own motivations or beliefs that sometimes clashed with what was asked of them! 4) Not that familiar, always something I can fix though. 5) In general, I would say the least favorite part for me is the pointless combat or when the "evil" we're trying to get rid of is just plain cartoonish, also a lack of player agency (without good reason) is very annoying. 6) Would rather send over privately!
1) Gigi she/her Age: 32 2)  GMT -5 3) I've been playing 5e for about 6 years, give or take. I've dabbled in a few other systems: Pathfinder, 3.5, AD&D, Vampire the Masquerade and a few others. I love learning new systems.  4) Unfortunately, I know very little Eberron. But I have read a little bit here and there. 5) I suppose I'm not a fan of excessive battles for the sake of fighting. I'm more of the type that enjoys Rping and working together with other Pcs. Also, unnecessary DM PCs, I don't mean the type we interact to progress the story, but more the types that are there to do all the work for the party.  6) Discord handle Genesis Peachie#1138
