Hello! Thank you for taking a moment to read my advertisement here. Currently I am something of a Forever GM. Been running games for years now, and not had the most chance to play. Sure, had some games here and there! But nothing really long term. Which, is what I would ideally like to find here! About me: I’m in my early 40’s (I know, older gamer territory), been gaming since my teens. But while I’ve been gaming for a while now, I still think that there is room for me to grow, improve, and learn more. There are so many systems out there, that I don’t think I will ever get the chance to play them all. I’m a LGBT+ ally/friend, and do have a few lines/veils that I would like respected. I do not believe sexual assault/danger/etc holds any place in gaming. Ever. I do not want to see any sort of racism, bigotry, or sexism in gaming either. I just want to have fun, do some engaging combat, and have some nice interactions in character. What I am looking for: Here is where it gets a little tricky. I am NOT looking for anything D&D. No 5e, no Pathfinder. Hell, I really don’t want anything OSR or based on D&D. I am not a fan of FATE, nor PbtA either. I do very much prefer more crunchy systems. Hell, my utter favorite game is Shadowrun. And I would love to find a good Shadowrun 3rd or 5th game. But beyond that, I really just want to play something other than D&D. Mage the Ascension would be nice, Exalted, Fallout 2d20, Barbarians of Lemuria, Savage RIFTS, Shadow of the Demon Lord, Warhammer Fantasy (I only really have experience with WFRP4e). Maybe some Dark Heresy? Not been really into 40k lately, but I am open. Not so much for Wrath and Glory though (tried it once, the system didn’t mesh with my brain well). I’d be open to trying Sigil & Shadow, Honor + Intrigue… Honestly, there are too many games to list. As for the game itself? I have a preference for homebrew worlds over modules. I like to go off the rails from time to time. To have a world to explore and really dig into. Something that I find modules/adventure paths just don’t really allow for. I like making characters with my GM, to fit the world and to make a backstory that has plenty of plot opportunities. And as a note, I am only looking for voice games at the moment. Nothing play by post, live text, etc. Nor am I looking for any sort of living world/Westmarches style setup either. As well, I am only looking to play in published games. Sorry, no home made systems or the like. Availability: I am available Tuesday-Friday evenings. I am EST (GMT-5, I do believe), and prefer to game in the evenings. Starting somewhere around 7-8pm, and gaming until 12:00-1am or so. I'm a bit of a night owl, so that is flexible. But I don't want to be up too late. Well, here’s hoping this catches someone’s eye out there. I like to think that I am pretty chill with a sense of humor, and can be an asset to your game as a whole.
