[LFP][Old-School][Text-Based] Looking for 5-6 players for 1st edition AD&D game

Hi everybody! I'm an experienced DM who has run several tabletop and online D&D games. I started playing and DMing D&D under 1st edition rules in the late 1970s, then went on to 2nd edition and 3.x. These days, I'm scratching my old-school itch and want to return to my roots. When: 12 noon to 5 pm, Pacific time every Sunday afternoon. I'm open to other time slots but this is the one that works best for me. System: 1st edition AD&D. What I'm looking for: I'm looking for up to 6 players. New players are especially welcome, just be aware that 1st edition isn't as forgiving as 5th edition. Setting: The game will be set in Greyhawk. You can find more information about Greyhawk here: Canonfire Books used: Players' Handbook and Oriental Adventures. Note this is going to be a text-based game. There won't be any voice used, so no need to get a microphone or headset. Most of my previous online games were text-based and I expect that this one will be no different. Let me know if you have any questions. You can either reply here or send me a DM. I hope to game with you soon!
I would be interested in joining. Have no actual experience with 1e though, but am willing to learn. I am not completely oblivious to the differences between 1e and later editions, but it would definitely be a big learning experience for me. I am very familiar with text D&D though, as that is how I run my own 5e games.

Great. Thanks, Mira! I have some questions that I ask most folks who join, so I can get a sense of what they're like. Can you please answer these when you have a chance? Feel free to message your responses to me if you'd prefer. Or you can reply here. What don't you want to see in games where you're a participant (as either player or DM) under any circumstances? What do you think is cool in the game? Please tell me about a cool moment in a game you were in? What do you think isn't cool? Please tell me about such a moment in a previous game, either as a DM or player? How would you introduce your character to the rest of the party? What do you think about giving player narrative agency during the game? What does that mean to you? What setting would you like to play in but haven't yet? What is a cool character concept that you haven't played yet? Who would you cast to play them? (Just a note that character creation in 1E is more restrictive than in 5E, but for purposes of this question, the concept can be anything at all.) What are your expectations for the campaign? What are your expectations from me as your DM? What are your expectations from the other players? What constitutes metagaming in your eyes? Do you have any questions for me? Anything about the world? Or the campaign?
Hey im new to DND im in a campaign and starting DMing my own and i would love to join another campaign to fill some time in my life as i dont do much  Is this 18+?
Thanks, SkyeHigh. Yes, it's 18+. Just a reminder that this isn't 5E and the game is text-based. If you're still interested, please be sure to answer the questions above. You can send me the replies to me in a private message or you can respond here. Thanks.
Hi folks, Someone in our group had to drop out because his in-person game changed their schedule and it conflicts with my game, therefore we have an opening for one player. Just to refresh your memory, this is for a text-based game using 1st edition AD&D rules set in a homebrewed version of Greyhawk . It runs every Sunday  afternoon from 12 noon to 5 pm Pacific time . Interested players should please send me a PM and answer the following questions. Or you can respond here if you prefer.  It’s ok if you don’t have any experience with 1E; two players in the group are new. How would you play an evil character? (this isn’t to say I would allow evil PCs; I just want to understand your creative thought process) What don't you want to see in games where you're a participant (as either player or DM) under any circumstances?   What do you think is cool in the game? Please tell me about a cool moment in a game you were in? What do you think isn't cool? Please tell me about such a moment in a previous game, either as a DM or player? How would you introduce your character to the rest of the party?   What do you think about giving player narrative agency during the game? What does that mean to you?   What setting would you like to play in but haven't yet?   What is a cool character concept that you haven't played yet? Hi everybody! I have an opening for our game in case anyone might be interested. New players who have no experience with 1st edition AD&D are ok; we'll teach you. Please note this is a text-based game and second, 1E isn't as forgiving as 5E . Having said that, two of the players in the group are new to 1E so if they can learn the system, I'm confident you can too. To apply for this game, please send me a PM introducing yourself and answer the following questions. Please make sure your answers are substantial and more than one sentence long. Thanks, and please let me know if there are any questions. How would you play an evil character? (This isn't to say that evil PCs are allowed; I just want to understand your creative thought process.) What don't you want to see in your games under any circumstances? What do you think is cool in the game? Tell me about a cool moment in a game you were in? What do you think isn't cool? Tell me about such a moment in a previous game, either as a DM or player? How would you introduce your character to the rest of the party? What do you think about giving player narrative agency during the game? What does that mean to you? What setting would you like to play in but haven't yet? What is a cool character concept that you haven't played yet? Who would you cast to play them? (Character creation in 1E is more restrictive than 5E. Having said that, for purposes of this question, this can be in any edition of D&D or any non-D&D game.) What are your expectations for the campaign? What are your expectations from me as your DM? What are your expectations from the other players? What constitutes metagaming in your eyes? Any questions for me? About the world? About the campaign as a whole?
