Monster Name Visibility in Turn Tracker

Hi - I use the GroupInitiative API in my D&D 5E game and love it... however, when I select a group of monsters to add to the tracker, it shows their names in the list which, in 99% of the cases, I don't want my players to see. Is there any way I can suppress monster names from showing up? Thanks!

The monster names will be visible to the players in the turn tracker if the Player Permissions for the monster name is checked. Like so: So in a case where there are 3 entries in the turn tracker -- 1 is Zwerg (player "See" is checked), and a bandit and a goblin (neither have player "See" checked), the players would see this in the turn tracker: The DM of course sees everything:

To add to what Jim is saying, "See" allows players to see the nameplate, "Edit" allows the people in control of the token to see the nameplate.  To prevent players from seeing uncheck "See".
This is simply not true. I've been playing on Roll20 for about 2 years. The monsters in my game do NOT have the Player Permission to see the names set. Yet, the monster names ALWAYS end up in the tracker when Initiative is rolled. I also have all the various settings to HIDE the names, and yet, the names ALWAYS turn up either in the tracker, or on rolls in the chat or both. In my experience, it is simply NOT POSSIBLE to hide the names from the players. This is one of the big failings of Roll20 and I've complained about it for years. I know I'm not alone because people I've communicated with in the past have moved to other VTTs to get this ability. Btw, I have two games - a D&D 5E game and a Call of Cthulhu game, and this is true in BOTH games. Your players  can see NPC names in the turn tracker when the view permission for the token is un checked? You as GM will always see the name.

I suggest switching to player mode, you will notice you do NOT see the names in player mode (unless you assigned yourself control over the NPCs).  What you see is not what your players see. Below is GM vs player view. No settings are changed. The goblin name is set to edit, but not see.    You can do the same for names in chat, they should not see them unless you want them to. options: 1) Switch the rolls to whisper to DM. 2) change the template so the name isn't in there (requires creating macros) 3) Delete the name from the NPC "name" line (not the character sheet as a whole, edit the NPC section, delete the name above "NPC type".  It is this line that the template pulls the name from.  Edit: 4) See post below for settings.  I find #1 and #4 to be the easiest solutions.

Saul J. I wanted to circle back to this (and my suggestions).  I completely forgot the controls for preventing the NPC name from appearing in the rolls. Another user reminded me of them.  First, you can change the NPC name in Rolls to "Hide" on the Campaign Settings page, shown below. You can apply this change in-game by going to the Settings tab, Miscellaneous, Apply Default Settings, then checkmark "NPC Name in Rolls" and apply.  Second, to change any individual token there is a setting in the NPC settings for the character sheen, shown below.  I don't know why I forgot about them, perhaps because I don't show my NPC's rolls.  Anyhow, good luck.
Thanks everyone - I'll give the above a try and see what happens...
