LF 1 Player (Cleric preferred) 5E Temple of Elemental Evil

# New players especially welcome **Next Session:** Thursday August 21st 7:30 PM Central US Time **Frequency:** Likely bi-weekly but we haven't settled into a schedule yet. We're looking for a player to fill the healer/turner role for a 5e Greyhawk campaign. Initially, I'm running T1 Hommlet with the idea that the players will go through the T series and possibly lead into the rest of the AGDQ adventures or just sandboxing it up. Monsters are replaced with the 5e versions that are available or converted when necessary. The adventurers have just entered what was thought to be an abandoned moat house, after being beset by giant frogs in the moat and striking down two brigands, freeing a captive bard. Only want those who have not played or run this series. * We're all learning 5E and helping each other out. * RPG or DnD newbies welcome. We've already got one player who has never played a tabletop RPG. * The group is also mostly new to Roll20, so there may be technical hiccups/questions.

Hello Kevin S. I would like to join in. The timing works, it is just right after class. I am also new to 5e, I have never played this campaign, and I have about two years of role playing experience. This is also my first week on roll20, but I have been watching the tutorial videos frequently. I usually play supportive roles. I am also 21 years old. I do have some questions about your campaign. What level is this campaign? Would we create the character together? How would I meet up with the other party members if I were to join?

Kevin, are you dead set on every other week starting the 21st? Or would it be open to be every other week repeating off of next Thursday the 28th? (Every other Thursday going off of the 28th works for me), I would be able to do the 21st as well, but going every other week based off of this Thursday doesn't work for me long term. I haven't played that module yet, how long is it supposed to go? Levels 1-5 or so? How long are you looking to run it? just this one piece, aiming to take a few months, a few sessions, etc???

Hi Jacob. It's level one right now. We've had two sessions, with the last one having two combat encounters. So we're really just getting started. You can play whatever you want but what's really needed is healing and some help with the undead, which just might come up in the future (*evil grin*). It's more of a dungeon crawl with some plot lines interwoven amidst it than most modern epic-save-the-world campaigns. You have two options. You can just take over the current cleric or you can create a new one. If you would like to make a new one, tonight would probably be the best time to do that since the next session is tomorrow. We'll think of some way to get the party and your character to meet up if you want. The party has barely entered the location and haven't gone inside a building yet (they're in the courtyard of a moat house/fort).

Bryan, the 21st is a definite. I then need to take two weeks off due to vacation and other obligations. Then every other week could start on the 11th *but* we haven't fully nailed this down and I wanted to wait until tomorrow's session to speak in person with everyone about it. The module series T1-4 is supposed to go to 7th/8th level in 1st edition. I'm not sure how it'll work out with 5e but my calculations will have everyone at 3rd by the end of T1, the current one. If people stick around, I plan on taking the party through the A series, then the G series and finally the D/Q series - all of which are linked together. So there's no end in sight for this campaign at the moment. Since Jacob responded first, I'll give him first shot at joining up. After that, we're pretty full but I could keep you on a list in case someone else drops out. I plan on just replacing people as others drop away, as long as there's interest, to keep this going till the bitter end :P

Alright, I would like to create my own character. I should have enough time to make one, plus there is just something fun in having to create a character from scratch. I would like to roll in front of you in the roll20 game though.
