Long messages cause the chat to not scroll down

It appears that since yesterday the chat will not automatically scroll down anymore if a long message is posted in it.  It seems to have to do with the actual "length" of the message, not the amount of characters in it, as when I extend the chat it will scroll down on a previously too long message. I have cleared both the local and general chat archive to no avail, I hope this can be fixed, my players and I kept missing things the other were doing because the chat just would not scroll down anymore  to new messages it deemed "too long".

No, they are plain text. 

I've seen this too and tried figuring out the tipping point. It might even be device-specific if they are measuring by pixels instead of text em/rem. This 5e OGL macro causes the no-scroll to happen for me consistently (Mac, Chrome, no extensions, dark mode or light): &{template:traits} {{source=Condition}}{{name=Exhausted}}{{description=Exhaustion is measured in six levels. Hmm. I have investigated, and it does seem that long messages  (anything over 23 lines)  are not scrolling, regardless of content. Best to file a  Help Center Request . I'll do so as well.

Noticed for the past week or so that chat does not scroll.
