Update is causing phantom tokens.

Whatever this new update did has broken my campaign and caused phantom tokens to appear everywhere. I don't know how to fix this.

Hi, so what has happened is when you delete an image from your library the associated token 'breaks'. This has always been the case. However, until today those tokens were invisible and unselectable. The Devs have been made aware of it. In the meantime you can try the following: 1) Move all of your token layer assets to a different layer, such as the GM layer. 2) copy the page, unchecking the token box so it does not bring the tokens with. 3) Go to the copy and move your assets back to the Token layer. If this does not work for you please send me an invite and I will come fix it up for you.
I'll just resort to making new maps and deleting the contaminated ones. Seems to resolve the issue.

I confirm this is happening! So the current fix is to redo every single maps?!? I'm sure that's make a shit-load of paying customer very happy... -.-
Any ETA on the Phantom tokens? Asking because copy/pasting 80+ tokens from one map to another just wont work for me... -.-

What's annoying is it didn't copy the fog-of-war... I'll look more into it later, for now ima need a nap -.-

That is up to the Devs, but if you want I can walk you through the steps to fix it on your own, or you can invite me to your game and I can rectify it.

That would be new behavior. If the phantom tokens are an issue for you you have a number of options: They are "Phantom Tokens". Tokens who has had their art asset (image) deleted. They used to be invisible and unselectable, but as of the recent token update they became visible. If the phantom tokens are an issue for you you have a number of options: 1) Wait for the Devs to fix it. 2) Send a bug report to the Devs, have them come fix your game. 3) Use the API script (requires Pro account) outlined by KeithCurtis here: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/11061515/using-reporter-and-token-mod-to-fix-some-phantom-token-issues 4) I come fix your map using method below 5) Or you can remove them using this method: * Move all the objects on the token layer to either GM or Map layer, whichever has less assets to fix afterwards. (Ctrl+A to select everything, then right click and send them all to another layer) * copy the page, remove the token and objects layer checkmark, hit duplicate * on the copy, move the objects you moved to the GM or Map layer back to the token layer (Ctrl+A to select everything, then right click and send them all to the token layer). * Fix any elements that got moved to the token layer but should have stayed on the GM or Map layer by sending them, one at a time, back to the correct layer. * Delete the original page at your leisure
We are also getting phantom tokens from other games in our games. There are character tokens showing up from characters that have never been a part of our game.

They might have been failed attempts to create tokens in the game. That happens sometimes. Especially if the character had a broken image. My suggestion is to select an option I outlined in the post above yours.
The tokens showing up are characters that exist in /other/ games, but have never ever been a part of our current game. The original owners of the tokens have never even been invited to the new game.

Yep, got this problem too. Tokens from years ago suddenly "phantomizing" with no way to remove them. Sucks that the only solution thus far seems to be to move every other map asset over to another map.

Those phantom tokens have always been there, the problem is that they are now visible. If you follow the steps above you can quickly rectify the issue. If you would prefer not to do the work yourself you can have me come fix it.
