Rule of Cool is always welcomed but no big surprises when it comes to homebrew rules. I roll out in the open so no DM fudging. I try to be as open and fair as possible and try to give my players a good mix of the three pillars, combat, role-play and exploration each session. I make sure each session the players feel they accomplished a good amount and don't let the game drag on with minutiae. All are included and welcomed, old and new! No-Nos are real world politics, controversial subjects and sexual content. I love doing voices and being surprised by my players. I’m always well prepared but willing to improv without hesitation.
