Pathfinder 1st edition sheet ver 1.820, dice roll in buff

My magus has several buffs that would add additional dice rolls to his attack (adding flaming, frost, etc).  However, I cannot get the buff to accept a dice roll as a buff.  I put it in as [1d6] for example, and it won't roll.  I put it in as [[1d6]] and it's outlined in red and tells me it is wrong.  How can I do this?  Or is there a way to update the sheet to the newest community version (1.22?  Or whatever that is)

Hi Patrick, the buffs can only use values that can be resolved directly from the sheet (ie attribute values and/or math and attribute values). If you need to add additional damages to an attack, you can either add it per attack using the "Extra Damage" sub-section of the attack or Globally using the "Extra Damage or Attack Modifiers" section found on the Attacks Tab.  If added globally, they will be applied to ALL attacks of the appropriate type (Melee, Ranged, CMB). Probably best to add these per attack.
Huh, thought there would be a way to make it roll some dice there.  Oh well, thanks for the response.  Guess it's back to adding additional dice.
