Hey Beck! I'm glad I saw this! I plan on running a series of one-shots for Call of Cthulhu and possibly work up to a campaign if enough players enjoy it. I noticed that there are relatively few GMs for it on this site so I thought I'd help out with that. In my opinion, it is one of the easiest systems to learn and that's what makes it so great. The easier the system, the easier it is to get into your character or the actual investigation at hand. Call of Cthulhu is a horror roleplaying game and many people enjoy the creepy and ominous feel to it.The games are typically set in the 1920s and I believe it sparks creativity because it makes you think about how to get something done without all the advantages we have now. I'm trying to gather a group of people who are relatively new or that have never played before so everyone will be at about the same experience level. I will be running a game that it made for beginning players. Unlike other RPGs, this system does not have a class system, but instead, your character must have an occupation. I have several pre-generated characters and can walk you through making your own if you'd like. In the forum for my game I typed way more than people might want to read. Because of this, I can explain the important things before the game, and some of the actual mechanics and skills while playing. A quote from the back of the book: "CALL OF CTHULHU is a roleplaying game based on the worlds of H. P. Lovecraft, in which ordinary people are confronted by the terrifying forces of the Cthulhu Mythos." Will you answer the Call of Cthulhu? Your investigation awaits.
