roiled both sides of the Ashkeep Mountains. The war of Ash and light between
Dwendellian Empire and the Kryn Dynasty has come to an end. Though long before
soldiers marched to the drums of battle, there was growing conflict. Simply
because the diplomats have declared peace, doesn’t mean that all conflict has
ended or that the fragile peace will survive. Moreover, during war, magic and
science on both sides were deployed in the service of destruction and
annihilation. Today, blighted regions scar the landscape of the ashkeeper peaks.
The locals call these areas “the scourged lands”, where massive arcane energies
were released. Now, there are growing reports that things coming from these
lands. Things that kill without concern for uniform, race, or loyalty. As
a part of the peace agreement, the Kryn Dynasty and the Dwendellian Empire have
established the Great Commission, dedicated to ensuring the peace and doing
what can be done to heal the wounds of war. You and your companions, agents of
this new Great Commission, are now sent to the Mayor of the small town of
Avengaurd, located near the Ashkeep Mountains, where disturbing reports of the
aftereffects of war continue to be made. You will face the challenge of putting
down aberrations, released during the madness of war. But you will also face
the challenge presented by those wishing to continue the war, those who believe
the Great Commission is a fraud, and those whose hatred, fueled by loss and
pain, cannot accept that a former enemy might be an ally today. Welcome
