[LFP][5e][Monday EST] Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden

Hello adventurers! I'm looking for one additional player to join an Icewind Dale campaign running  every other Monday, at 7PM ET.  The group is one session in, and unfortunately one player had to leave - so I'm looking to fill their spot. I've run this campaign before in its entirety, and have ideas about areas that I'd like to expand, and sections that'd I'd focus on less. I'm running this as a difficult campaign - Icewind Dale is not a forgiving environment. Smart and well thought out play will give you a higher likelihood of success, but sometimes that may not even be enough. That being said, I don't plan on turning the difficulty up to a point in which the campaign isn't enjoyable. A description of the adventure: In Icewind Dale, adventure is a dish best served cold. Beneath the unyielding night sky, you stand before a towering glacier and recite an ancient rhyme, causing a crack to form in the great wall of ice. Beyond this yawning fissure, the Caves of Hunger await. And past this icy dungeon is a secret so old and terrifying that few dare speak of it. The mad wizards of the Arcane Brotherhood long to possess that which the god of winter’s wrath has so coldly preserved—as do you! What fantastic secrets and treasures are entombed in the sunless heart of the glacier, and what will their discovery mean for the denizens of Icewind Dale? Can you save Ten-Towns from the Frostmaiden’s everlasting night? Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden is a tale of dark terror that revisits the forlorn, flickering candlelights of civilization known as Ten-Towns and sheds light on the many bone-chilling locations that surround these frontier settlements. If you're interested in joining, please respond to this post with the following information: Your name, and preferred pronouns Discord Handle (e.g.  name#1234 ) How long you've been playing D&D A character idea Hope to hear from you soon.
Jason, He/Him BoloniusMonk#3654 Been playing for around 2.5 years Character idea:  Qirc - Kobold Beastmaster (TCE version) Ranger.   Qirc spent his early years patrolling the forest and hunting for his tribe.   He eventually befriended a giant badger who kept stealing his food.   His badger companion, Zeb, would hunt with him using a net to subdue their prey followed by gnawing and pummelling.   Unfortunely Zeb met his end in an unfortunate encounter with a skeleton.   Distraught, Qirc's grandmother told him that there were rangers who could summon primal beasts, and surely he could learn to call Zeb back from the beyond so he is now on a mission to learn to do so.   Qirc believes that he is chaotic neutral, but tends to act in a lawful good manner as it makes life easier and he values loyalty to those that he is close to. Happy to fill any class/role to mesh well with the party.
Hi there, This is my first time using a forum to find a group so I hope I'm doing it right. Hopefully you still have room. My name is Tom, He/Him Discord Handle:  Deadthorn#6417 I've been playing for a little over a year Character idea: Wes Manteeth - Metallic Silver Dragonborn Oath of Vengeance Paladin or Circle of the Moon Druid. Wes grew up high in a frigid mountain range of Icewind Dale. His clan was small but strong and resourceful. They believed their bloodline to be that of the god Bahamut. With his village isolated from the rest of the world, Wes had little experiences with other races and cultures; only having traded with the nearby Goliath tribes and the occasional snowy Owlin traveler. As an adolescent Wes began to explore the surrounding area seeking out adventure wherever it would be found and would venture away for days at a time. While exploring late one night, Wes met a Tiefling named Valrissa and fell in love at first sight. Over time they grew closer and closer until what started as a curiosity developed into a romance. Wes would never imagine the betrayal that would spawn from their union.  I designed this character for an Icewind Dale campaign that never got going. I prefer a tank or damage dealing role but I am up for anything.
Your name, Ryan Kowalski, He/Him Discord Handle: HankHimmel#3980 How long you've been playing D&D: I have been playing D&D for just over a year now, I have done a little dming but mostly player side of things. I was just in a Sunday group playing an echo knight fighter but we had to end the sessions due to some medical issues with the DM.  A character  idea:  I am playing around with a  human Wild Magic Sorcerer named Ainier Loren from the famous Loren family. His family has inherited an innate gift for magic and with this has created many enemies. The Loren family is from the Waterdeep, and one day after studies Ainier is kidnapped and held for ransom in which his family refused to pay. The kidnappers opened a portal to the Icewind Dale and shoved Ainier though closing the portal. Lost and alone he searches for a familiar face and way home.
