Hello: I am looking for 2-3 players for a game which will be Fridays 7:30 PM Central Time Canada. I already have one player, a good friend of mine. The game is set in the Harnworld setting and uses 5e influenced rules with Homebrew elements for things like magic and combat. Characters should be human, will start at first level. Players should expect a good solid backstory that fits the setting, from birth to start of character play. It is a gritty, semi-realistic and rough setting, be warned, which is why I am looking for mature players. I would advise thinking more Game of Thrones/Song of Ice and Fire/Terry Goodkind/David Gemmell, with a bit of Lord of the Rings thrown in, in terms of fantasy inspiration than sources like Wheel of Time or The Witcher. There are, however, fantasy elements to it. Please be prepared to talk about your sources of inspiration, whether fantasy or historical. The basic story is that the player characters would be in the service of a nobleman who needs tough, reliable people to help him patrol and deal with issues in a wild borderland area. However, strange and mysterious dangers will lead to discovery of a menace that could threaten the whole barony, maybe even the whole kingdom. If you are interested, do feel free to post here or send me a private message.
