Dive, fly, crawl, or burn, in an epic struggle against Elemental Evil, in this classic adventure for 5th Edition D&D. Wherever the Elder Elemental Eye turns its gaze, entire worlds are at peril of being subsumed in elemental chaos. This time, the Eye has focused on the Sword Coast, the savage frontierland home of our heroes, and it will be up to them to stop the arrival of the four Elemental Princes. It begins as a smalltown investigation, and ends with a cosmic confrontation that will decide the fate of a planet. This is a long-term campaign starting at 3rd level and continuing into the epic tier at level 15, played weekly at the same time, through Roll20 and Discord. In the course of the adventure, our heroes will be transformed from local unknowns into planar champions whose names are spoken of with reverence by the commonfolk. Glory awaits those who challenge the Princes of the Apocalypse. The game includes several long and complex dungeon crawls, allowing the players to use all of the resources of their increasingly powerful characters. Each elemental cult uses the strengths of its elements to create dungeons and lairs with unique challenges. Exploring these environments is a very big part of the adventure. Between these excursions, interludes of investigation, diplomacy, espionage, and sabotage, might help give the heroes an edge against the four elemental cults. The game might occasionally address mature themes, including revenge, madness, torture, and many others. We will have a frank discussion during our first session about themes we do not want to explore in the game. I hope that everyone will feel comfortable to raise any problems they have with descriptions or events we experience together during game play, so that we can deal with them out of character in a way that enables everybody to stay engaged in the game. Any behavior or language that prevents other players from enjoying the game and from fully participating will not be tolerated. A good quality microphone (preferably a headset) is required to use Discord. I also strongly encourage players to use video during games. Games using video conferencing are usually more enjoyable for all parties, as video prevents misunderstandings and miscommunication. In addition you will need (free) accounts for Discord and Roll20, and you might want to download the Discord client. All game materials (handouts, character sheets, maps, tokens) will be available through Roll20 See the full Roll20 listing at: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/351628/princes-of-the-apocalypse-a-cosmic-struggle-against-chaos-dandd-5e Or to sign up: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cl9sepn6y000509l37jy92kk6 Finally, for reviews from more than 140 players, see: https://startplaying.games/gm/magicinitiate
