[GMT+2] Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 1e/2e - Trying to get into my first WHFRP game!

Hey, all! Decided to finally get into Warhammer Fantasy proper and start looking for a game (which I have been postponing for years now). I don't know how popular 1e and 2e are for online play these days but they're the editions of the game I'm interested in. Possibly 1e especially since I'm big on the OSR movement which I see it compared to a lot. 2e will do just fine as well however since as I understand it it's mostly 1e with a few tweaks. I'm from Eastern Europe looking to play in the evenings, preferably anywhere from Monday to Thursday. Saturdays, while not preferable, are also good. My knowledge of Warhammer Fantasy lore is not the deepest, but I think I just about have most of the surface level stuff down with the odd deeper bits. I'm honestly trying not to spoil myself to much and leave a bit of mystery in there. Not big on the Age of Sigmar thing. As for my understanding of the rules, while I believe I mostly have them figured out I will admit some guidance would be appreciated, if only to be safe. I'm not sure I'll do everything right on my first time making a character, so I would be very grateful to anyone willing to help out. Once I do it once I'll have it down.
Seen 2nd Ed Warhammer and 4h ed being posted now and then on the site. Can recommend either. However id say keep away from 1st and 3rd. They are iffy for various mechanical reasons. But, good luck. :)
Aye, cheers, but after looking at the different editions I've really concluded that 1e and 2e are my thing. 4e isn't for me for various reasons. Not much of an opinion on 3e, but then again I rarely see it mentioned anyway.
I would be up for 2nd edition myself. While yes, 4th make it easiest to play for new and old players. I do like good old 2e.
