Performance Issues of late

Last Wednesday 11/30/22, Our group play during our normal Wednesday night game session from 5:30 to 10 PM Central time. I usually don't have lag or freeze up and have to reload. We were all freezing up and had to reload a few times each and there was significant lag waiting for our rolls to appear in chat. I appreciate all the newer content and upgrades. However, I would think performace would be of paramount concern. As someone who has a pro account and has spent a $1000+ dollars with subscritpion fees and all of the content I have purchased, let's say, I was disappointed to say the least. With so many other VVT's becoming available and with WOTC working with D&D Beyond I would think performance issue would become more of a priority. Please consider this moving forward from someone who spent $1000+ on Fantasy Grounds and D&D Beyond too. I put much time in preparing my games and playing in others games. I'm looking for the next generation of VTT and I am hoping Roll20 is considering the market and our concerns moving forward. Competiton is going to be tougher with potential 3d mapping and live effects, and Hero Forge vitual mini's merging.

Hi Bry! Give it another try. Roll20 pushed a fix for some recent performance issues with a recent Chrome update. This may have been related. Are you still having the issue?
It's still quite laggy in Chrome, but note Roll20 works perfectly fine in Firefox. Thus, I think it must be a Chrome specific thing. If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say it's some interaction between introduction of the new Windows feature and or the latest Chrome update.
I'm still getting very high CPU usage rates in both Chrome and Firefox, even with DL off. Something has changed somewhere around the time of the latest Roll20 update.
Yes, I also want to add to my previous post that like you, I had dynamic lighting turned off.
I've been in a game I DM... Working on and adding additional materials by myself and it has been working fine. I guess I will see when I am in game with others this coming Wednesday night. Thanks for the response and explaination KeithCurtis.
Same issues for myself and at least three of my players.
Also laggy for me and im not using dynamic lighting.
