[LFPs] [DnD5e] [UK Time] DM Looking for some new players to join homebrew game. Seafarers Folley.

[NOW CLOSED] Heyo Roll20, first time using the forums as a dm to look for some players. Jus putting up a post to gauge interest about maybe recruiting 1 or 2 players to my homebrew game.  A recent group shake-up has meant a player had to leave the game and I'm looking to bulk up the numbers a bit and maybe add some new faces to our dnd group.   My homebrew game, which is called Seafarers Folley, is a nautical/oceanic/mystery/adventure sorta campaign. I've been running this game for several months now and am about half-ish way through the story. We originally had 4 Players, a Sea Elf Cleric, Triton Paladin, Mermaid Bard, and a Locathah Rogue. But the Paladin has stepped away. Everyone is currently level 8 and a requirement of this game, due to the setting and story, is you must make a character that can operate on Land and in Water, be this through race or class. This is something we'd discuss during the character creation phase where I'd lay out the lore etc which might help inspire some ideas. And I'd make sure to weave your character naturally into the story. Our game is deffos 18+, pretty violent with some dark themes. But we avoid all the more triggering stuff since we don't really need that in dnd. We'd discuss these themes to make sure we're all on the same level before playing. I run my game bi-weekly on Tuesdays due to my work schedule. We're a group that has been playing together for about 5 years now so I hope whoever joins us is comfortable joining a pre-established group o' friends, but we're a friendly bunch so you'd be welcome. We're a group from all over, a few in the UK, one in Germany, and two in America. Luckily our timezones line up enough to play together. We play with the GMT timezone. Were an English-speaking group due to our locations. Our age range is between mid-twenties and mid-thirties (I'm the youngest at 28). So I think having someone in that range would probably be a good fit, but this isn't set in stone. We play through discord so that's necessary for us to use. What's funny about us as a group is that we actually all found each other on Roll20 in the forums and we've been playing constantly for 5 years and really bonded as friends. So I hope lightning can strike twice. This is kinda justa big word garble, I'm not the best and putting thought into words but if you are interested I guess leave some messages in the comments, maybe suggest some character ideas, etc and if they catch my eye I'll probably message you.  So yeah again the requirements, the Character must be water/land friendly, you must be suited to an English-speaking group and able to play during the GMT hours, be down with joining a pre-established group and join a dnd game already in progress.  Hopefully, this is coherent enough, I look forward to seeing if it gets any interest.  Extra note, due to it being the festive season, whoever gets picked wouldn't be joining for a game until after the New Year-ish.  IMPORTANT!!! :D I'm probably gonna cut off applications by Friday the 9th. I've gotten a lot of great applications so far and it's very overwhelming but I'll give folks who may still be interested the chance to put their name forward. Thanks to all those who have shown interest. I'll be getting back to some of yous soon about moving forward with the "interviews".  [NOW CLOSED]
Seems interesting, would probably need more info to create a char etc, but all can be checked on the list of your requirements for me ;)
Hey Brandon (and friends), my name's Johannes, I'm 25 years old and live in germany. That campaign sounds really interesting and since I already puked before I even made it to the english channel ferry that one time, I'd be a natural fit for a seafaring campaign! But seriously, I would claim that I'm pretty good at joining an already existing group of friends due to my very open and laid back (but serious when need be) personality. What I'm currently imagining for a character is an older military age (human age ~late 40s ealry 50s) cleric who was something like a combat medic in an army and has since retired to forge his own luck in the adventuring world out there. I'm open to change that up if the group composition requires it and am obviously willing to make my guy more fitting for a water theme with your help. I'm looking forward to your reply, greetings, Land Rat Johannes
Hello there!! My name is Storm (they/them), and this sounds like an absolutely it could be an absolutely wicked campaign! I do admit that I’m a bit younger than your group’s current age range and I  can be a little bit shy at first, but once I warm up to people, I really love to talk about my passions, one of which is D&D!! I live in a somewhat isolated part of Canada with an odd Timezone, but fortunately, it’s only a little bit behind GMT and have made sessions work with people living there before, so I’m sure we could work something out! I have a few ideas that I think could be interesting for this possible campaign setting! 1. A somewhat somber and reserved Fathomless Warlock Selkie who, after making a deal with her patron for enough power to be able to take make her stolen sealskin from a woman that had been holding her captive, now idly roams seas and ports, trying to find meaning in her life again and discover answers about a past that continues to haunt her 2. A Kracken Simic Hybrid Pirate, former captain of an infamous pirate crew. Alongside her partner and shoulder pet, an explosive monkey elemental, she travels across the seas on their own, trying to outrun the law while finding out what happened to missing members of their dear pirate crew 3. A somewhat older Minotaur woman who’s both an absolute sweetheart and mom friend, as well as a Paladin with an Oath of the Open Seas. Picking up her battle axe once more after having retired from the marines, she hopes to seek out some clues regarding a secret scandal upon the seven seas in t during a scandal of her past. However, if you all don’t like these ideas, I have a little under 70 in my D&D phone notes that might also work! I hope you’ll consider me, thank you for this opportunity!
Hi my names Joe, interested in a UK GMT game and I love big worlds and long campaigns already playing in 1 already on Saturday, that has been going on for a few years and just looking to find more games to be apart of as I find myself longing for more D&D. Happy to come up with a character that can fit a water themed campaign plenty of things to choose from that would easily give them their sea legs. I'm 29 from the UK, Male not that, that makes any difference haha. Do you have any specific times you guys play? I work a very consistent office hours Job as I work in IT and Tuesdays I don't have any obligations for the other half so all works out smoothly as long as I get time to eat before the game so 6pm onwards starts are ideal. I tend to play multiclass melee to give them a few spells to aid their martial prowess or a half caster like paladin but generally open to making sure my characters abilities make sense for what the party needs. If you have any questions or would like to have a more personal chat to get to know me you can find me on discord under : Solhex#5421 Thank you for your time.
Hey there, what time do you play on Tuesday? I'd be interested in joining if the time aligns. I'm est America. Paladin is also my favorite class, I usually play oath of the Ancients but I'd be happy to switch it up for the nautical theme. Let me know if you're interested.
