Send session reminder

Score + 28
I want to suggest the possibility to send a reminder of sessions to the player. How? In the campaing page, where we insert the "next session", will have a button called "send reminder". This will automatically send a private message to each player in the campaing showing when the next session will be.

Hi Fabio CM! That would be great, and I would support your suggestion because 1 button in that location would make it very fast and easy. For now, you can accomplish something similar using your Game Forum. Any post that you make in your Game Forum will send a Notification to the Players. If the Players have Email Notifications enabled ( on your Account page ), they will receive email too. Make a thread in your Game Forum called "Schedule Reminder". Each time when you update the Next Session, also make a post in "Schedule Reminder" thread, and it will send a Notification with that title and message to the Players. Well, it may serve while the button is unavailable :D
Would love to see this as well. Came back to Roll20 recently after deciding to leave epic words. They send automatic game reminders, much like meetup and others and this is super handy to get people planning for your game. This included a way for the player/attendee to indicate if they were attending, handy for GM prep. Players may opt out of an active forum and miss notice so having that separate would be great!

While the current notification works ok, it also would be nice to have a built in Roll Call w attendance button as described above, versus the forum post a GM currently has to remember to do on top of everything else. Which if it's been a busy week in Real Life, but you've already done all the work & just need a game night review, that Roll Call post is easy to forget about.

Still sounds like a smart idea. Now that I have votes available from other Suggestions getting Completed, this gets my +1 and hope to see this thread get some attention.
I find that if I don't send a reminder the day of or day before at the earliest, I will have players that forget. It would be nice to have the option for a reminder that would have the option to attach to their calendar.

Yes please
Just want to say YES to this suggestion, and note that VTTs like Astral have this. Being able to have an automatic reminder go out via email would be greatly beneficial.
So do we have this button yet?

No, not yet. Roll20 made an attempt at a solution, twice really, but it didn't work adequately and was taken-back off the site. There was the version that automatically created a Game Discussion forum-post anytime the GM/Creator altered the Next Game Date. That was active in late 2020. Then in 2021 there was the bright-pink Schedule Game button coming to the home page, they took feedback on that from Dev server and ultimately didn't leave it on. So we're back to square one, the best we have for now, anyone in your Group can post a reminder post on your Game's Discussion Forum. Only those group members who have selected to allow Email notification for Forum posts, will get an email reminder generated from that. Same answer as 5 years ago, really, at this point. Is it really that difficult to send an email to the address tied to the Roll20 account? Gold said: No, not yet. There should be an automated 24-hour before gametime reminder for all players via email
