Canvas Tool

Hello! I would like to put forth the suggestion for a new tool: A canvas tool. Currently, when GMs want to adjust the size of a canvas for pages within a campaign we need to pull down the pages drop down menu, enter numbers for height x width, apply, and see the results. The map alignment function is great, but there are times when I am layering assets or placing maps and I am left with open space around the edges or something looks a little off. My suggestion is to add a tool that allows us to enlarge or crop the current canvas/board the way a Crop or Artboard tool from Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop behaves. Quick, easy adjustments that happen onscreen and without the need to go through the page drop down for every adjustment. Just an idea to chew on. I love the site and service. Keep being great.

+1 excellent idea.  Being able to resize the map page with a click-drag to fit a map graphic would be a big improvement. And not just exact-fit the map.  Some of my maps need border areas, and I'd want to click-drag larger than the map for those. It would also be useful if there were a way to drag a map graphic on and have the canvas size to fit the dimensions of the original. That wouldn't work for all maps, but I make some of mine in 70 pixel-per-square multiples of 70, and auto-sizing would save a lot of playing with numbers to figure out how many squares I needed.

Yes - adjusting page size should be able to be done visually, as it's an inherently visual task.
