Some questions: Have you had your GM move you to a different page (map)? Does this happen in other games? What browser are you using?  Have you tried incognito/private mode for the browser?  Have you cleared your cache/cookies?

If incognito worked, that generally means that one of your browser extensions was causing an issue.  You might want to track down which one is the culprit and decide if you really need that extension or not.

I always open Roll20 in Incognito whenever I’m going to Launch a Game. This saves me a lot of trouble with weird issues.

Incognito can also bypass cookie/cache issues. So clearing those may resolve the issue without using incognito mode. (Which btw, nice idea Andrew.)
Thank you for the advice Andrew R. , It might be just my perception, but it feels smoother in incognito mode.
