Looking for a cozy classic fantasy styled game with a solid emphasis on dungeon crawling and wilderness adventure. The classic bit. Been on the lookout for a while now but I've only managed to find very pre-written story heavy gigs, which isn't quite my tempo.
I'm big on wilderness adventuring and dungeon crawling and seeing what situations spawn what stories. Letting the dice fall as they will and seeing where things go. Not a fan of roll fudging and the like. Interested in lethality. That's how I run my game, and I'd love to play in one such as well. I'm not picky about systems so long as they're still within the OSR bubble. I'm not entirely sure how exactly to describe the sort of game I'd be most interested in, but the best word I can think of using is something more 'grounded'. Basically very much the style of old school fantasy from the 70s and 80s. I've had my fun with and fill of funny animal humanoids and half-demons going down to the local pub for a calm drink. Okay, more fill than fun. I'm looking for Conan, LOTR, Warhammer-esque stuff, if that makes any sense. Available Monday through Thursday evenings.
