Saturday group looking for a few new players

Hello there : ) I am the GM of a group that has been running for the last 5 years and we are looking for one or two new players to join us after one of our long time players had to leave the group due to good old real life. Our games are run on roll20 with discord used for voice. The usually start time for our games are 3pm GMT till 6pm GMT (which is my time zone, the other two players are EST so start time for them is around 10am). As a group we have played a wide variety of rpgs, as we like to try out new systems and also return to our favourites* now and then.  We have concluded our last campaign and are planning to start a new one come the new year, so this seems like a good time to seek out new players. As a group we are more mature players (all 40+) but welcome anyone to join us, new or experienced with rpgs. What we want in new players is to be 18+, able to make the time regularly, and willing to play a variety of rpgs. Hey there, I might be interested, and a friend of mine too but she's mute so is text totally out ?

Hi there, thanks for your interest. With regards to your friend, is it that they would able to play if the game was text only, or that they would be able to listen and reply/post text in the chat? I must admit that i have never run a game in which one person just used text to communicate whilst others use voice chat.

Heya, My friend is mute, they can listen and type a reply. Personally I prefer typing myself but can do voice :) Sorry for the late reply, I didn't get any notifications of a reply.

Okay let me talk to the rest of the group, see how they are with players replying in text. I think to get notification on a thread you have to click follow topic at the top of the thread. Also, is the time okay for you and your friend?

Well they don't have to reply in text, replying in voice is fine :) we're both able to hear, she's just not able to speak :) 3-6 is usually fine for me most days, her availability is usually saturday/sunday :)

Noel, If you still have a spot available let me know. I'd like some more information on your campaign. We can sit down and talk about it.

@ Seithon. I have had a think about one potential player using text to communicate whilst the rest use voice, and i am not confident i can make that work. My games can sometimes move fast and i would fear missing a message in chat whilst taking to others. No offence intended to your friend.  If you are still interested the next game will be Mongoose publishing Traveller 2e (a science fiction rpg) at the usual time of 3pm till 6pm GMT Saturday.

@Noel Not a problem, we both know it can be an issue :) I might still be interested however, I've never played Traveller however or even have the books. If you're okay with that I'm available on discord under seithon#4664
