Hey fellow rpg enthusiasts. I am stating up a Star Trek Adventures role playing game campaign. I need a couple of more players to have an ideal small group! Here's some deets: You MUST be 18 or over as it may involve some adult themes It will be played virtually over my Discord server Game night will be Thursdays at around 6:30 EST so you must be free to make this commitment. There may be some flexibility here No role playing game experience is necessary but it would help If you are interested please DM me so we can chat. Or contact me on my Discord server Vice Admiral Jim's STA game
What is the premise for the campaign, please?
Would be nice to add time zone so we can make sure.
It is the calendar year 2394, stardate 71720.6 at start of play. The star for the Romulan home world and seat of the Romulan Star Empire went Nova 15 years ago followed by the dissolution of the empire itself. It has been 9 years since the disaster at the Utopia Planitia ship yards, resulting in a complete ban on synthetic life forms (synths) in the Federation (UFP). All is disturbingly quiet in the Alpha quadrant and as far as anyone can tell, most other parts of the galaxy as well. Nothing has been heard of the Dominion since the war. Where have the Borg been and what are they up to? Who is behind the mysterious Fenris Rangers? The Romulan Neutral Zone was supposedly disbanded but is still more or less routinely patrolled by the new Romulan Republic - old habits die hard. Finally, there seems to be time for Starfleet to get back to it's central mission - exploration. Yet there is an uneasiness that has settled over many parts of the Federation.
I am in NYC so eastern time zone
Very interested, I'm in EST as well and love the idea of setting this after the synths ban! Please DM me if you still need players so I can be considered!!
Hey Michael, I have a full crew but I will keep you in mind if someone leaves, ok?
Hey guys. 1 new player needed! If still interested, please respond on this thread or in a DM. Sorry I didn't get to your DM before. I will now. Note: the game has begun and it's Thursdays 6:30pm eastern time
Do you by chance need a Captain? What kind of ship will the crew be stationed?
"Please state the nature of the medical emergency"  - any need for a holographic doctor with a portable emitter he can use for short away missions ?    Hello,  I am " EMH Mark I"  a computer program with a  Portable Holographic Interface and supply pack that may be carried on a crewman's back for away missions. Though once activated I can carry my own interface. I was designed by Dr. Lewis Zimmerman and with his own form. My role is to act as an emergency doctor should the medical personnel of a starship or facility become disabled. In normal circumstances, an EMH would be used in the short-term until the real doctors could be treated, or replacement medical personnel arrived. I am currently unassigned and available for service until my battery systems fail. ***STAR FLEET SERVICE BULLETIN- Warning Long term use of the EMH Mark I, such as forgetting to turn it off overnight, may corrupt the programming and lead to sentient self created programming that may lead to undesirable actions such as developing "self preservation routines" or "feelings" and causing the EMH Mark I to block its reprogramming port and disable the "off" and "reset"  button on its Portable Holographic Interface . The battery power on the unit may last for months or longer if recharged. The only way to shut it off is to let it run out of power, or talk it into shutting itself off , or destroy the Portable Holographic Interface Module but this will render the unit unusable in an emergency so discretion is advised before activating the unit. The Portable Holographic Interface Module or P.H.I.M. can take damage in combat , so it not advised for use in battle except in emergency situations. Additionally the unit comes programed with a hippocratic oath and cannot harm others including combative threats but may sedate or use a phaser set to stun. This has led to a Starfleet wide recall but due to resupply problems replacements have been delayed.
