Are there still M & M fans out there? My experiences the last couple of years running 5th ed D&D have been decidedly mixed, with modern players seeming to be looking for more of a fantasy superhero game than a truly adventurous experience of growth and challenge. A quote by a recent player was "things don't get going until 5th level!" Well heck, if I'm going to run games for superheroes, why not run a superhero game? Over the decades one of my go-to rpg's was Hero System/Champions. I had several long and successful campaigns of it. Great adventures with street level and Avengers level groups. Running 5th ed D&D has only increased my fond memories of those games. Been looking at the M & M rules and I kind of like what I see. I need to research more, but I just wanted to see if there were still fans of the system, or supers games in general, still out there. Besides growing up on Marvel and DC since childhood, my more modern inspirations include Watchmen, the Wildcards books, Tiger and Bunny, And One Punch Man. Though I love punch ups, a role-play experience (I always love reading comics where the X-Men play poker or Avengers play basketball, and they all have various human relationships) is very much in my wheelhouse as well. Give me a holler here or in PM and let me know if you might be interested in getting a campaign going in the New Year. Cheers and Happy New Year!
