How to access the new door and window feature of dynamic lighting?

I noticed the blog post about "12 new features that you may have missed" indicated there now being a feature to add doors and windows for dynamic lighting. How do i access this feature? following the gifs in the announcement it looks like they should be in the same place as the torch, but i'm not seeing doors or windows there. Is there something special i need to do?

I believe it is still in early access for Pro subscribers.

That's pretty typical for new features. Pro users have access to a lot of tools that other levels do not, so they tend to encounter a greater range of issues with new features. For example, a couple of users quickly discovered that Doors and Windows cannot be Transmogrified (moved from game to game along with their map page). They should be available to everyone else once they have been beaten into shape. Fortunately, there seem to be very few issues with them, so hopefully it won't be too long.

It will likely be released very shortly. They used to put updates on the dev server, but only the extreme users ever bothered with it. By stepping it first through the Pro users they get a large group, who should already be familiar with the app, to do final testing before releasing it to the whole population.

It is on the same Menu point where you can select to place walls... There you have the option to select windows or doors to place... i see and understand how to use the doors and windows but can't seem to delete them. Any idea guys?

BTW, this works for any selected object. (I never use the dropdown).

I think its truer to say that anything they put on the dev server was planned to be released soon anyway, and they were too impatient to wait for dev server feedback. I remember providing feedback to one feature that was ignored because they were imptient to push it out, then they withdrew it when if they had listened to the feedback, they'd have known it wasnt ready for prime time. I don't think this is the only case where that happened.

I will probably let the plus subscription go once the annual fee is due :(

Could anyone explain what I might be misunderstanding about the new Doors/Windows feature? I'm a Plus subscriber, and I now have a Place Door and Place Window option under the Place tool. But when I select either of the new tools nothing happens. I cannot adjust any Door/Window settings as shown in the help page ( Placing-Doors-Windows ) and am unable to actually place anything. Is the feature still not available to Plus users, or does my game need updating/ a setting changed for it to function properly?

Unless its been updated, it's a Pro only feature for now. I don't know why any entries are visible to less than Pro. Though if that's just appeared, it may indicate a wider rollout is imminent.

As of Jan 5, Doors and Windows became available to Plus users. I have no way of testing a Plus experience (only Pro and Free-through a  Dummy Account ). Rob, can you describe, step by step what you are trying, what you expect to happen, and what actually happens?
