When in doubt on a character concept, consult the ST. Bonus Freebie Points : I will allow 10 extra freebie points at character creation if you give me a character background. It does NOT have to be the 'Great American Novel'...just a page or two explaining your merits, flaws, and why you are in Night City. Kindred Character Options Camarilla : Brujah Gangrel Nosferatu Toreador Ventrue Malkavians* * = Malkavians may opt for either Dementation or Dominate as an in-Clan discipline due to the 'fluctuating' nature of their Clan. This must be selected at character generation. Anarchs : Brujah Gangrel Nosferatu Malkavians Toreador Caitiff ...no other clans / bloodlines are allowed (these are my toybox for NPC's) Backgrounds The following limits and clarifications apply to backgrounds. Generation : 8th Generation is the absolute lowest I will allow. If you have another character as a sire (either Player character , NPC, or a World of Darkness Character) you can get Generation for free (save a few points) Otherwise you must purchase Generation at character creation. You may not purchase more than five dots in this way. Status : You may not purchase Status at character creation. Allies : You may not purchase allies at character generation. Domain : You may purchase Domain of up to 3 at character creation. Fame : You may purchase Fame of up to level 3 at character creation Mentor : This is NOT allowed at character creation Resources : You may have Resources of up to level 4 at character creation Influence : You are encouraged to purchase Influence at character creation. In addition, Influence follows the LARP Influence levels as detailed elsewhere. You may purchase up to Level 3 in Influence at Character creation. Experience : Experience follows this chart : New Ability 3 New Discipline 10 New Path (Necromancy or Thaumaturgy) 7 Attribute new rating x 4 Ability new rating x 2 Clan Discipline new rating x 5* Other Discipline new rating x 7* Secondary Path (Necromancy or Thaumaturgy) new rating x 4 Virtue new rating x 2** Humanity or Path of Enlightenment current rating x 2 Willpower new rating * Caitiff have no Clan-based Disciplines, just as they have no Clan. For them, the cost of raising all Disciplines is the new rating x 6. This is both the curse and the blessing of being Clanless. ** Increasing a Virtue through experience does not increase Traits based on that Virtue (Humanity, Path, Willpower). Cyberware : If your character has been embraced in the past 15 years, I will allow you to have some very basic cyberware at character creation -- such as interface plugs or a basic cybermodem. Otherwise you'll need to purchase (and arrange implantation) during game play.
