prospective party member, I am glad you took the time out of your day
to read this! We are a group of 5 players + 1 DM looking to add 1 more
player to our ongoing campaign. Previously, we had a makeup of 5 he/hims
and 2 she/hers in our group. Due to life and scheduling, one of our
she/hers has left the campaign. To keep things balanced, we are looking
for another she/her to join our group, so please be mindful of that when
reading through this post.
First, let me tell you some of the logistics of our get togethers. We
meet up every Saturday at 12 noon EST (although we are all mostly from
differing time zones). We play online using Discord for voice chat and
webcams, and we use Roll20 to run encounters.
Now, a bit about the campaign. We are heading into session 7 this
coming Saturday, and the PCs are at level 4. The campaign is one of high
fantasy, set in the year 1099 common era on the continent Reyna, in a
kingdom known as The Realm. The Realm has a strong anti-magic stance, so
those who choose the arcane ways must take caution when practicing it
or sharing their knowledge of it. The party began in the town of
Guilwerk, where they made some NPC connections. Things got a bit heated
when they discovered an underground crypt that was filled with magical
auras, and The High Inquisition was brought into town to investigate.
The party has left town until things cool off, they are currently on the
road to Dead Man’s Cove where they will be participating in an
underground combat league (one that permits the use of magic). This is
where I am looking to loop in a new PC.
Here is our party composition so far:
Grikit Fohleum (played by Payden): An earth genasi barbarian. Grikt
is a reserved fellow who likes to observe and think before he talks. He
is witty and intelligent, while at the same time standing strong and
firm. Before joining the party, he was a wanderer of the lands who made
his way from city to city.
Cecil Serrastel (played by Reddo): An aasimar grave cleric. Cecil is
of noble lineage and his family hails from the capital of The Realm in
Ankerock. Some unfortunate circumstances have forced him to go into
hiding for the time being. He is an avid follower of the Raven Queen.
Locke Arameia (played by Arya): A tiefling artificer. Locke has spent
much of her life as a student of magic. She spends much of her time
crafting and improving magical items, both for herself and for
customers.
Peregrine “Penny” Thestina (played by Will): A high elf rogue. Penny
comes from a family of jewelers. A misfortune with love saw him take to a
life of solitude as he seeks once more to find purpose and meaning in
his travels.
Ellios Vesper (played by Spirit): A shadar kai sorcerer-rogue. Ellios
is bold and brash and never afraid to voice his opinion. He comes from a
life of lower class in Guilwerk.
A bit more about our group: We are a laid back bunch who enjoys
spending time together both in campaign and out. In campaign, we enjoy
roleplaying, both from a serious standpoint but also can get pretty
silly at times, so the campaign has a nice vibe to it. We are looking
for someone who will do a bit more than just show up to campaigns every
Saturday, we hope they can feel part of the group and be active in
Discord during the week as well. We do respect each other’s space and
time, so being a respectful person, while also showing up to sessions on
time is important.
Integrating characters into the world is something I worked really
hard on with all the existing party members, so I will also want to work
closely with the new player to help make their character fit into the
world. The characters are the ones who really drive the campaign
forward, so this is a really important point for us.

I’m going to be doing voice calls with people to find out if they are a
