[LFP] [5e] Tomb of Annihilation looking for 1 more on Saturday Evenings

Just like the title says we're looking for the final player to round out this new group, the plan is to have session zero this Saturday at 6:00 PM CST and have our first real session the week after. Feel free to tell me about yourself here, add me on discord at Creative Nickname#8934 or apply here directly https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/11247810/applications. Whatever's easier for you
Name: Jacob Discord: luky7dayz#2914 Age: 27 Character Race/Class: thinking a halfling monk (this is level 1 right?) Character Basic Backstory: A grizzled soldier who spent 30 years as a cook for the army, he eventually gave up the life when he realized he wasn't making a difference in the world and gave it up to see the world instead. He traded his cooking services for lodging in taverns as he went from town to town aimlessly. About yourself: I work in law, started playing tabletop rpgs over a decade ago around the same time i started warhammer. Happily married and a generally easy going. One thing you hate and one you love in your games: I love player freedom and teamwork to accomplish goals. 4 players tackling a problem is always better then one superhero type character that can do it all. Hate: murderhobo archetypes, you want to kill that guy? I'd like a reason better then hes in my way. Players that don't understand that the game is about multiple players creating a story together Favorite Show/Video Game/Movie and why: Been going through a bunch of shows recently, really enjoyed Ted lasso. Good natured characters are under represented in media. Love inception and movies that make you think. Only 5E campaign book i've played is curse of Strahd and that was a long time ago.

Name: Hiroshi Hashimoto Discord: riho from hr#8681 Age: 19 Character Race/Class: Lizard folk/monk or undead half elf paladin maybe a grave domain cleric tabaxi Character Basic Backstory: The lizard folk is a wanderer who lost his temple to a calamity, looking to survive and find a better life as a adventurer. The undead half elf paladin is a girl who died as fodder in a war and got revived by the god of death on plead to avenge her killers and the bloody war who took her loved ones. About yourself: Im a Dm actually on a all my games, im not the best but i try to have fun. (for 5 years on 2023) I have been teaching all my friends on high school about dnd and rpg since i myself always loved roleplay and acting, i have been listening to podcasts and learning and reading about a lot of mythologies including dnd. Not the smartest but i try to be as serious as i can since the roleplay is my favorite part besides the dice math. One thing you hate and one you love in your games: i hate metagaming since it makes the roleplay less fun and more of a side thing. i love good storytelling and a nice group game. Favorite Show/Video Game/Movie and why: my game is dark souls 3 since it was a game i played for the first time with a friend and just didnt stopped playing until i was satisfied with it. the rpg elements and the feeling of being challenged was so good and i knew i could do it if i try hard enough. Have you played/have outsider knowledge about Tomb of Annihilation? This won't make me not pick you but I want you to be honest about it i have a little knowledge about it, nothing too big. like i know acererak's character and how he no knows where his philactery is and some traps i learned a whole lot ago. i do not remember any layouts or other stuff since i myself didnt study it in detail.
