One of my players was having bad issues with a high pitched whining we could not identify. After trouble shooting and re-installing sound drivers (even an IT professional working on it). The feedback even followed to ventrillo and skype. Turned out it was a USB mouse plugged in next to the speakers. So I figured I would share this anecdote in case it can help someone else.
