Howdy folks. I'm Sherlock and I'm looking for a solid group ( a mix of some older and younger players) or long-term campaign that would play a published game on a weekend evening (Fri., Sat., Sun.), either weekly or every other week. I have a good number of years of experience with D&D (5e and 1st and 2nd ed.), mostly as DM. General preferences include a strong desire to play published adventures (Yes, feel free to customize it and make it your own) using the core rule books. I am less interested in power gaming, multi-classing, homebrew classes, or playing the latest and greatest new subclass. Similarly, I don't want to be pigeon-holed into playing a princess-goddess-mermaid, in order to keep up with the Jones's and not be rendered ineffective or obsolete. As a DM , I have an old school flavor (probably as a player too) and prefer the rule of cool with a tactical combat lean. I have DM'd
more times than I can count and would love to sit on the other side of the
table with some fun-loving, like-minded, folks. That said, I would be
willing to take a turn running some select adventures, either every
other week or as a second, follow-up, campaign. I don't have a theatre
background or make my own professional battle maps, but I
do some voices, make handouts galore, set killer soundtracks, and put
forth a great effort in running a fun and smooth game. As a player , I come prepared and ready to play. I seek creative solutions, prefer merit-based rewards, and try to do more, with less (rather than just playing between Rests). I will bite your plot hooks, engage with other players in and out of game, and do what I can to help drive the story forward. Let me know if
this resonates with you. Good Luck! ~Sherlock
