I'm starting afresh a campaign in my homebrew 7th circle of hell. The story will start as the players died and enter into the gates of hell, landing in the 7th circle of violence. Fished from the river Styx the players will be processed and brought into Banetown to be held under the Church of the Conqueror, expected to be sold to the next traveling demon looking to take them to horrible fates in the damned city of Seed. It's here opportunity will present itself and launch the players into an adventure onto the strange lands of the circle of violence. Players will start at level one but I will be looking bring everyone to level 6 in a very fast way because I'm uninterested in low level characters inability to affect the worldaround them. Playtime will be 7pm on a weekend, most likely Sunday USE eastern time. As a DM I low key obsess over knowing RAW but I'm happy to abandon it for rule of cool. I'm looking to run an improv environment with many a goof to be had. I use dungeon draft to create not just battle maps but large environment maps as well, allowing players a more tactile representation of the environment (and taking a little narrative load off of my shoulders :D). This also allows for more story intertwined combat as it is able to progress naturally. Obviously I'm not able to do this with every possible area but I set a goal for this to be as often as I can. The world being Homebrew I'm looking to tell a story for the characters existing in it. For this reason session zero is going to be a a longer process of building the characters together so I can offer a story for them, not just one they are in. However development of backup characters that can be easily intertwined is important as I'm a strong believer that a honest threat of death is what makes the characters surviving so thrilling. Content warnings for violence, light gore, and body horror (think John carpenter's the thing) I do not put sexual themes in my games, no offense it's not the game I'm looking to run Play is over roll20 and discord My games are LGBTQ+.
