Demented Gaming LFP (Various Systems)

Hello, My name is Dr.Strangelove and I'm the ring leader of the Demented Gaming crew. We're a small group of friends that enjoy playing various tabletops and other games together as well, we have a few campaigns that will be starting shortly and are currently looking for players for them. We are more than welcome to teach players the system and help you build your characters. Play dates and times are still being decided for the campaigns but will be updated when we know specifically when. If you're interested you can visit us here: http://dementedgaming.forumotion.com/ Now, onto the upcoming campaigns. The Forest of Jericho Survival Quest (Gurps 4E) GM- demonsdie This campaign is heavily survival based early on with the players starting out as normal Humans, but later on there will be ways to procure paranormal abilities later on. In the forest you will find yourselves in you can expect paranormal activity, demonic forces & horrific creatures. Being a survival campaign eating, drinking & sleeping will be required to survive. Most weapons that you will be using in the campaign will be made by the players. Starting out players will choose a profession which determines your starting skills, skills will improve with use and other skills can be learned through observation and trial & error. The Flames of Revolution (Tephra) GM- Dr.Strangelove Welcome to Rilausia, this is a Steampunk campaign that involves two warring countries. The players will be starting out as mercenaries joining up with the side of their choice, in this campaign players can expect battles upon trains, airships (On and between), Automatons, mechs and the opportunity to directly change the outcome of the war. Depending on the actions of the players other countries could become involved in the war as well. This campaign will be HEAVILY based in roleplaying and players will be expected to keep up with their journal entries as I have a plan for them towards the end of the campaign. The Book of Lies (The One Ring) GM- superneutral After Middle Earth s plunged into an era of chaos with the appearance of The One Ring and the rise of The Fellowship, Sauron is defeated once again, and all is well. No new dark powers appear for centuries, no wars are waged, and peace is all that is know. One mistake is all it took to bring a millennium of peace to a screeching halt. In Gondor, as a gift for their bravery in the battle against Sauron, they were given a magical tome. Anyone who speaks a lie within it's vicinity is recorded within it's pages, and the corruption it would bring was painfully obvious among the royal court. The King of Gondor however, the last of the House of Telcontar, decreed it be used in court meetings at all times and insisted it be kept in his chambers with him as he slept. Paranoia of rebellion was not something unheard of when it came to King Addrynnyn, but it had become far worse once he came back from an annual diplomatic journey to Mirkwood. Basically, the group would investigate the string of murders and disappearances that have been happening all across Middle Earth, at first being small numbers then growing to even larger ones, whole villages disappearing in mere weeks. The murders would be going on ever since the King was returned to him home in Gondor, and it would be happening not only in Gondor, but in the surrounding kingdoms as well. People would either disappear completely, in those instances it would be entire villages, or families would be found slaughtered and drained of blood. The small amount of blood that would be there would be smeared on the walls to create strange sigils. The only things linking the two different kinds of crimes would be the sigils. In the case of abandoned villages, a much larger version of the sigils on the walls would be drawn in the dirt in front of every house. Aside from the sigils though, no other marks would be left behind; no footprints, horse tracks, or anything that would leave a clue as to who or what could have taken all those people. Of course there will be side quests and such, and while I have an idea of where I'd like to go with everything, I'm making the story very dependent on player choice and roleplaying. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me here or join up on the boards and post in the campaign area you wish to join and you'll be helped as soon as possible. To good times at the Tabletop, Dr.Strangelove
Hey Roll20, Updated with The One Ring information & the sections are set up on the forums, the rules for character creation are being put up for the campaigns now. Hope to see some new faces. Dr.Strangelove
What times(and what timezone)/days are you planning to run these games? And how do you run? VOIP or text?
That depends on the campaign, but most of us are EST as for the days that all depends on what day the GM wishes to run it. I'm only running The Flames of Revolution, which will use voice & text if the player doesn't have a microphone.
That was actually the one I was most interested (I don't know the system in question but that's never stopped me before), but I'm only available a couple nights a week.
I plan on running it weekly, most likely on Friday & Saturday (As each group will run a different night.) Starting time will be around 8PM EST, though it may change depending on the availability of the players.
Information on character creation for all three games has been posted, as well as links provided for the players.
I am interested in the lotro one. I am currently reading the book. I have never played any of these systems before but I would like to try. The only problem is 8pm is too late for me. Ideally, I would like to start at 430 or 5 so we have more time to play. Anytime passed 10 I'm a zombie due to work schedule.
I'm not too sure what time the GM plans on starting that campaign, as I'm only running the Tephra System. Once the GM for the TLOR campaign gets on I'll have her pop in and give an estimated time of play.
